This clearly shows Hurts’ development into becoming an elite NFL QB.

Anything over a 90ish QB rating against zone defenses shows that a QB knows how the read the field and does it well.

He can dump off to Barkley at or behind the LOS for minimal gain and have a high passer rating because of a completion and no turn over.

Its using extremely basic stat to mislead uneducated football casuals.

Need more depth in to this analysis to see if hes really has been beating zones or just completing easy passes against it with minimal effectiveness.

Check these stats out - not all against zone defenses but show how incredibly clutch he is on 3rd and 4th downs - only elite QB’s have comparable stats …

We have a lot of 3 and outs, where he doesn't throw the ball at all - right? Is that gaming the stats a bit or is that factored into these ratings?

This is what I’ve read about it:

  • He texted his girlfriend/family "Goodbye”

  • Girlfriend called the police, his agent, The Cowboys and told them "he would end it all”

  • Police were notified and were apparently aware of his situation and were pursing his vehicle for a traffic violation but lost track of him.

  • They found his vehicle on the highway crashed but he fled the scene (this would be considered "hit and run” regardless if he hit anyone or not)

  • Later that night he was found deceased in a portable toilet

It is very sad to see a young man pass away this way; especially after spending his entire life getting to this point and having a successful career in the NFL.

I think it likely shows this was a plan and he had been depressed for awhile. Sometimes that pressure that someone puts on themselves to succeed can make them more prone to depression despite their success.

Ah come on - Toth was impressive at center against the Giants and having him there allowed Hurts to play more snaps under center (and they looked good doing it)

We can cut Jurgens to make room for Lampkins. It's only like $25M in dead money.

Yeah, it looked good - but it is a one game sample size.

The GB secondary plays a lot tighter than NYG, but they do seem to freeze a bit on play action.

Cap isn't real, except when it is.

So outside of oddsmakers thinking this will be a get-right game for GB after losing at home to Carolina as a 13/14 point favorite, I don’t get them being favored in this game. No Kraft, Eagles coming off a bye, assuming Nolan will be back and AJ and Saquon are good too. These are usually the lines that concern me though because more times than not they end up being right.

. A lot of fans tend to remember the 2 or 3 bad drives a game that ended in 3 and out, etc but tend to forget the 10+ other times they convert on 3rd and 4th downs. The Eagles have been converting 4th downs all season long.

Jalen Hurts has a 123.3 QB passer rating on 3rd and 4th downs - that is beyond elite.

Good plan and that's why you should be GM.

They are 28th in 3rd down conversion percentage

What’s their 4th down conversion %?

How does that compare to AJ Feeley?

He played OG in college.

I’ll help you. They are ranked 5th in the NFL.

3 minutes ago, Ace Nova said:

78.6% but its a smaller sample size of 11 conversions. There's also a lot more context that goes into 4th down then it does 3rd if you are comparing it to around the league.

Patullo called drives are the 3 and out ones. He should have a chart comparing Patullo drives vs. Hurts/AJ called drives.

That ranks them 5th in the NFL in 4th down conversion %.

Sure, but it's not surprising given the tush push. They should always be near the top because of that.

The only thing I disagreed with was the "they don't have that many 3 and outs" statement because they absolutely do and it's not even a debate.

Yea not basing much on the giants who have played atrociously the last 5 weeks outside of our Thursday night game. I’d hope he and the team would play well the second time we faced them. the entire league has the last 5 weeks except for our Thursday night game. Packers defense is a significant upgrade over the giants.

Also not just about this game. There’s a chance he might miss the following week against the lions at this rate. He had a week off then a bye and still isn’t practicing. That’s concerning for him and at some point when you face packers and lions it’s a massive ask for Toth as compared to the giants defense who’s playing poorly recently and has a bunch of injuries

The Giants DL isn't bad though.

I was going to post this same tweet. Eagles are on a historic pace of 3 and outs.
