Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

It was super ticky tack.

Thought the PI on Mitchell was pretty poor simply cause of the inconsistency. the 3rd and 4 in OT Aj basically had a defender holding his hand and arm the entire way down the field. Like if you are gonna give a PI on Mitchell then that’s definitely a PI

I've been trying to find video the one on Mitchell

On Twitter it was hard to find the replay that espn showed. Can see it in real time but that initial view doesn’t show the whole thing. I saw it re-watching the game on nfl network. If they were going to call that then fine better call it like that all game. Not just in the biggest moment of the game

I just think that was the one where Troy and Buck were disagreeing with the rules commentator guy

The number 1 issue in the NFL with officiating is lack of consistency.

here is the Mitchell PI with replay. It was a weaker call especially given the significance of the play and time. Moreover it really isn’t as much of PI as what we saw earlier and even after that pi. I figured when. The chargers didn’t show that replay at the game it was likely a weak call

Ok it wasn't that one then. The rules guy agreed with Troy in that

I wonder if it was a flag that was overturned or a play that was overturned

This is going to bug me now until I find it lol

Was it a defensive penalty?

I'm not sure now lol

I just remember the rules guy agreed with the end result of a call and Troy and Buck were still harping on it

Maybe was the hold on mailata that took the TD off the board. I’d have to look but i think the defense only Committed 1 penalty all game and it was that PI

Yeah I agree with him. But then he clearly held his guy on the Saquon TD. So evened out

Was there some inconsistency and ticky-tacky calls (this holding, Q PI) that went against us. Sure. Did we get benefit of others (no call on the Saquon TD). Also yes.

I wont hold the officiating as the a key factor to the loss in this one. It was far worse and a bigger impact on the games the previous two weeks - Cowboys and Bears. Those crews were attrocious.

They didn’t lose because the officiating. However, I hate the fact that NFL officials make themselves known big moments of games. Like that pass interference on Mitchell hasn’t been called all night. then you make that call on arguably the biggest play of that game. Because if the Chargers don’t get that passing interference, it’s fourth down and 10. I would argue if that same play happened the previous quarter they’re not throwing that flag.

furthermore I think the officiating around the league is bad. Covey was returning upon and the guy completely ripped his face mask and the official standing there looking at it. We all laughed at Sean Payton when he lost an NFC championship game then went on a tirade all off-season about being able to challenge penalties. Frankly he’s right because of how bad the officials are they should be.
