Hey, you could be lucky like me that got to go last Monday and see a play that hadn’t happened in 50 years. Jalen hurts threw an interception and got the ball back and then fumbled it. Witnessed history.

Maybe Ill witness an 8TD game by Tanner McKee

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

In a recent mock on NFL Draft Exchange, they had the eagles selecting Caleb Lomu at pick 23.

I kinda like the sound of his teammate Fano even better. I believe we just need an OL. Not necessarily targeting say a T over a G or vice versa. Steen isnt good enough for us spoiled with elite OLs for many, many years now. Dickerson is an injury concern, Lane is an injury concern. Even Mailata is somewhat of an injury concern. Ill take the guy who can basically play anywhere you need him.

I think both of Utah lineman are underclassmen (Lomu might even be a sophomore), I’d be surprised if they both came out - actually I think it’s more probable that they both stay in. Of course, Proctor is junior, as is Mauigoa. January 15th will be a date to circle as usual.

They can sign MB back after LA cuts him this year

It is beyond obvious that Patullo is gone just as soon as possible. Can Siri be far behind? I hope not. Clean out the Augean stables.

Honestly, from the way last game went, I'm not even sure it's all on coaching. The offense seemed to improve schematically, and Jalen was just throwing to ghosts over the middle. Several bad reads even on concepts that weren't that challenging.

Everyone has a bad game, and I'll give him a chance to improve at that, but jeez. If I'm Sirianni though, I'm opening things up and putting it squarely on him to make the right decisions as a QB for the rest of the season, so it's abruptly clear if he sinks or swims. Sirianni has an interesting mentality on paper - win as a team, lose as a team - but it gets him way more heat than he deserves, because he does stuff to protect others on the team, and so he just gets all the heat for everything. Vic on the other hand will call people out if he feels like it.

That is my hope. That Siri saves his butt. He can sit up there and say its ridiculous to bench Hurts to the media. While quietly showing the world that Hurts isnt capable of running an NFL offense.

Sherrone Moore out at Michigan. Woof!

He was atrocious pass blocking last night. I’d take him back but he really has disappointed this year and hasn’t stayed healthy

That situation is nuts reading about it.

There’s a couple tweets saying he went to the woman house he was having an affair with and threatened to kill himself and her. I’m hoping that’s not true

Ummm…the Eagles are the team every team hopes they draw in the playoffs right now.

Obviously I am projecting ahead in my clairvoyant ways. As not all see what I see. Be patient.

It helped having a hall of famer on his right side and a healthy Cam Jurgens on his left. Definitely want him back here. He's hurt every other year, but I'll take that chance.

If Byron Young going forward, is anything like he was Monday I am excited about this defense once again, when JC comes back especially. This defensive line now can compare to last year with MW perhaps, and the newfound depth they have. They will rotate and stay fresh and fatigue won't be an issue. Think Epps makes the secondary stable, as he and Reed know how to play together. Doesn't look lost out there like Brown and no worse than Makuba was looking. And Adoree finally looks like he isn't lost out there and reading the play. These are important developments for the defense and team. And JD coming on as well. That's what is keeping me hopeful here. Defense wins Superbowls. They have a shot in every game. Offense can only go up from here. They have reached their bottom. Think they will be hungry and the Championship spirit comes out of them before too long. Peeps have PTSD from 2023 and already wrote this team off. Could be a rallying cry for the Superbowl Champs. They don't lack talent, as many have told me in here. I think they surprise from here, as expectations are now low for this team. The playoffs are a new season and you can throw all this garbage out the window.

Positive spin… there’s a lot of room for improvement if you think the potential is there.

Listened to most of this.

Foles analysis:

1. Fundamentals is there number one problem.

  1. Because they can't run the ball, the passing concepts are too simplistic and easy to figure out.

  2. Hurts is a structure QB much like Russel Wilson. Team not giving Hurts plays that he's comfortable in doing. Doing too much thinking out there. They need to pick out his best plays and start from the fundamemtals and work on his foot work.

  3. Like many have said they are just running a medley of plays and there's no progression to them.

  4. WRs are half azzin on the blocking and if it isn't their route they aren't playimg to win the route. Didn't say his name. But AJ was who he was referring to.

  5. Said Lane Johnson is the most important player (structurally) on the line and offense from a structural basis as well. And when they get him back they will run better as well. Miss him dearly.

I got the idea a lot of this is fixable. But definitely notall of it, especially regarding scheme. Said this is Frank Reich's scheme and knows it inside out. I think Foles should be a consultant after listening to this podcast. Still not done listening but that's the gist of it.

I would fire Patullo on Monday win or lose and bring in Doug and Foles.

Remember that they did not want to fire Doug, they wanted to change several coaches and he chose firing instead.

The respect is still there.

Foles can be just a mentor to Hurts or assistant QB coach, whatever.

Doug can be directly involved in game planning and be the play caller. I don't care about title.

This only works because Foles knows the general system, Doug is familiar through Reich and also coached Hurts for a year.

It also only works because you don't have to worry about losing structure with new people. There is no structure.

Steichen is very good at his job. They kind of coasted (except for horrific blitz prep) in 2023.

Moore was very good at his job and the line was mostly healthy and beastly last year. Snap Tipper was on the bench.

This year Siri and Patullo have to actually do something and they just can't.

They are both far too small for their jobs.

Patullo has revealed Siri as a fraud.

FWIW, Reich is free to also be in this mix.

He only took the Stanford job as a 1 year interim HC as a favor to Andrew Luck.

Their season is over and they are not bowl eligible.

He fits here better

Becton was a very bad pass blocker as an Eagle. I think PFF had him in the high 70s out of 110 or so.

They worked around that because he was also a steamroller on run plays.
