And nobody was wearing a body cam. When I was on years ago, the Commonwealth had laws on the books essentially preventing body cams. At the time, police could only record with a dash cam, audio around the vehicle, and the lights had to be on, and the camera system had to be approved by the State Police (so, you know, you could chose from any of a handful of super expensive systems that recorded straight to a slow play VHS). I had left right before they changed the laws allowing the body cams, but everyone I knew pretty much wanted them and were happy the laws were changed because then there's no mistake about what actually happened, and you wouldn't have to worry about getting dinged by a false complaint. Body cams were supposed to prevent any question as to the happenings of an incident, and they do.

At this point, the next admin needs to seriously contemplate consolidating federal LE, and turn ICE back into what it was in the INS days (a bunch of guys in khakis, polos, and windbreakers showing up).

I'm pretty sure this is the standard training for ICE when dealing with these situations
