I saw a woman walking down the street today without a mask on - upon closer inspection, she was carrying it in her hand and used it to open the door she was entering

A few minutes later, I'm in a shop grabbing lunch - different woman walks in.  As she's giving her order, she pulls her mask down in order to speak to the employees.

We're all doomed.

Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

  • I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in November. They removed my thyroid gland right before Thanksgiving. Post surgical blood test showed a thyroid globulin number of a 6, which is above the threshold

Good point

I can't believe you turned down the painkillers!  A percocet and a glass of wine might be the greatest you could ever feel outside of the secktuals

i'll counter with a small handful of orphenadrine, no wine and sh***ing yourself in the carpool the next day on the way to work.

Is this the drinking thread?(@cyn). Lol.  What day is it?  What board am I posting on? With any luck I might die first.  Won’t be the 1st drunk caregiver whose heart gave out from the stress.  Still think that maybe what happened to my Dad although he never drank.  I recall taking a break from posting back then ‘cause I was a little busy with Mom after pop just dropped dead.  Took a leave from work to stay with my mom until my family sorted everything out.   I keep thinking if I made it through 2014-2015 I’ll make through 2020. There will be wine involved from time to time. Like right now.

Mr Di is hanging in. He does have Mets to his brain now. He’s on steroids daily now (god help us!) he got set up for radiation treatment to his head today which will start Monday. So hoping that will kill them and we can have a few more months.  It’s one positive coming out of the virus ish being able to spend all this time together.  With wine once every other day or 3-4 days. Whatever I can muster.  Stressed.  I don’t like it but I’ve been here before with a loved one.  I can do it.  Need to be strong for him and our children.  Have one on me in case I don’t get to come around much!  I’m having another then taking a nap.  Stay well fans.

I've been watching through all the Indiana Jones movies recently. Big question is, do I watch Crystal skull, or continue to act like it never happened?

It’s been on my "to do” list for years. I watched it when it came out and remember nothing other than Shia was in it and I believe aliens?

Give it the highlander 2, godfather 3, alien ressurection (4), and Rocky 5 treatment.  It never happened

i would add highlander 3 but if highlander 2 never happened, then the cave scene in 3 never would have either. oh mario peeples, you were so serviceable in heartbreak ridge.

Mario Van Peebles, that brings back memories. He did some of his finest work in Solo.

I'm going to try to catch some of this. It looks fairly entertaining. I won't be investing in it but I'll watch some. I'm intrigued.

NEPA is just an extension NYC.  It's just poor people who can't afford to live there.  They have no redneck roots.
