December 4, 20223 yr Schmoopie and I got invited to a Christmas party yesterday thrown by our neighbors across the street. Young couple (late 20s, maybe early 30s), nice enough but we really don't know them as well as some of our other neighbors. So I was a bit surprised that it was mostly their friends (probably 8 couples in total), us, and the elderly couple that lives next door to them. Honestly, I thought it was pretty cool that they reached out to invited us given that. Anyway, we pop in for a 45 minutes then bounce since we needed to put down Ellie for the night. By the time we left, it seemed like it was at capacity and was just a chill gathering. No noise that we could hear from our home and it disbursed by 10. This morning I'm doing my normal routine, including sitting at my office, playing framed and catching up on threads here. During that time two couples, who must have slept over, left. First couple, no big deal, just walked out the door, hopped in their car parked in their driveway and left. The second couple? Well..... for one, neither were wearing shoes as they walked down the street DESPITE HOLDING THEIR SHOES. Help me process this people!!!!
