June 5, 20232 yr Found out a good friend of mine passed away this morning. He had incurable cancer and had stopped treatment recently. His wife had informed him that she wanted a divorce the same day he told her he had decided to stop treatment as I understand it. He was very depressed and had cut ties with everyone in his life trying to push us away. I saw him last week and gave him a hug and told him I loved him expecting that I might not see him again but hoping that he’d let me be there to support him. I suspect that he took his own life, likely in part to ensure that his wife would get his insurance policy rather than allowing her to separate from him and lose it when in his mind this was his inevitable conclusion anyway, based on conversations I’ve had with him. edit: just found out he left notes.
June 5, 20232 yr I love visiting the Apple Store. Seems like, invariably, I walk out of there having spent $800 I didn’t plan to spend.

Sorry to hear it. Obviously I don't know the whole story, but having your wife ask for a divorce while you're battling cancer is rough, to say the least.

Agreed. He was in a bad spot mentally for some time and they probably would have gotten divorced several years ago had he not gotten sick.

You can keep PECO but contract a 3rd party to be your electric supplier. We use to do that prior to installing solar. But your not as progressive and ahead of the curve as we are so that’s your best bet. (fartsmell.gif)

June 14, 20232 yr I was just involved in an email string at work and this glorious word salad was thrown in. Can anyone translate salad? Quote We have talked about several things over the last two weeks. As part of those discussions, we talked about specific deliverables and in some instances the team understandably needed to have creative discussions to develop deliverables. I think I would be very helpful if we establish a list of deliverables that we discussed or have resulted from the team discussions so we have a running list and can see what is produced but also see that our deliverables are hitting on all the messages we need to hit. Does this help/make sense?
June 14, 20232 yr Not to brag, but I just successfully (so far anyway) replaced the throttle cable on my lawnmower. All by myself.
