July 5, 20232 yr Deer living in the dunes behind our beach house. They were there last time we were here a couple of years ago as well. We were wondering where they get fresh water from, but yesterday we cracked that code. They wait until they see people walking on the paths back to the houses, knowing that we’re going to use the hose or shower under the house to rinse off. They then make their way into the bushes between the houses and, when we’re done and head upstairs they drink the leftover water off the ground then head back out to the dunes.
