Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

Went into a Lowe's today, probably the first time I've been in one since around 2019 actually. But I was surprised to see Halloween stuff out. It's mid July and they have Halloween decorations at the front door.

Next week Christmas trees?  :nonono:

I voted not gay.  I'm guessing he was playing an Asian drinking game with you.

This little guy was just out there in our driveway. At night. That’s not exactly sitting well with me.

That may just be a northern water snake.

Can really look quite a bit like a copperhead with its pattern.

But yours does kinda look like a copper head. Wish there was a better pic of the head (thats what she said.)

Head shape, bands thin at the top but widen on the sides... I'd say its a copper head.

Edit: Looking it up, if it is a baby, the tail tends to be a different color, like yellow or green.  That one looks a tad older than one that just hatched but is still pretty small, so if the tail was discolored its a sure sign.

Had a rat/black snake visit below our deck yesterday.

It is now lying in wait underneath a bush in Copperhead heaven.

One favorite food of young snakes are pinkies, I.E. baby mice.  So if you need to lure it out from underneath may I suggest you head over to the bush and pull your "dong" out.

How is he going to lure out a dead snake?

Cool, thanks for the tip (some pun intended). Does that work for you?

I didnt notice any green tail though. But the coloration does look a bit different than the water snake and more like the copper head so I believe it.
