Ask schmoopie.  Back when I was living in Denver, i nearly had a panic attack when our disposal died.  She encouraged me to give it a shot and I ended up swapping it out no problem.

Back then I was THAT bad when it came to anything remotely close to home improvement.

We use Microsoft teams now so we make calls through that regularly each day. Happened to mention it to one of the guys I work with (who also has replaced one before) and he kind of mentioned what to be cautious of so I had a bit of an outline in my mind before starting.

worst part is the ring on the top of the disposal that fastens in three places to the other part of the ring assembly on the other side of the sink. Can’t count how many times I got one of those three sections to thread/catch but not the other two, and those disposals are heavy enough that trying to hold them with one hand, while pushing up to underside of sink, also while trying to center it, then using the other hand to thread that z-shape Allen key tool... that was the only part that irritated me and probably took 15+ attempts to get lined up/attached.

We got a phone call from POTUS today congratulating us on our FDA approval of our ventilators. 41days for approval. Been a crazy month but we're going into full production mode now. :usa:

AMEN. i typically stick with aged tequila (gran centenario ajao) but went back to avion when i saw their silver. if you can find it (possibly in the ethnic section of walmart) the greatest tequila chaser ever made by man is a cold bottle of Topo Chico (carbonated mineral water from mexico).

You still chase tequila? Thats adorable

Let me be a testament to tell you there’s not enough alcohol to help you escape death.  I’m not as sober as I should be right now but I will be when it’s time.

I have to pressure wash my house and I need to use a ladder as well as an extender.   Not looking forward to it.

man, any way the extender wand will allow you to pressure wash the higher portions without using a ladder ?
simple physics makes this not the best idea. just looking out for you. 💞

Hopefully.  I haven't used the extender before.  It's my neighbors.  I'm letting him use my driveway disc scrubber attachment.

Maybe you're right, not sure if the extender will reach high enough though.  I'm going to wait for a hot day again.  I'll let you know if I die.

at the very least, move the pool behind where ever  you have the ladder, just in case.

I have a similar but slightly worse situation at my house.  2-story with a walkout basement, which means my siding starts about 8-9 feet above the ground.  I have the 2nd story nozzle set for my pressure washer, which gets me most of the way there but I can't reach the top.

Man Climbs Under Moving Big Rig Filled With Wine, Begins Drinking From Tank

By Steve LargeMay 7, 2020 at 12:19 pm

MODESTO (CBS13) — It is a wine heist like you’ve never seen before.

The Modesto CHP arrested Gabriel Moreno after he allegedly jumped on a moving tanker truck carrying bulk red wine, climbed under its belly to unscrew a valve, and drank the wine as the truck traveled up Highway 99.

Video of the wild ride was recorded on the Cherokee Freight Lines tanker truck Moreno allegedly targeted.

The dashcam video first shows Moreno in a sedan, putting his hazard lights on, directing the truck to the side of the highway.

The truck driver pulls over, believing he may have a mechanical problem, only to see Moreno get out with only his underwear on. The camera shows Moreno running to the passenger side of the truck and out of view.

As the truck driver pulls back on the freeway, another onboard camera captures Moreno jump back into view, then on the back of the wine truck.

With no shirt and no shoes, he rides on the side of the tanker. The video then shows him climb underneath the truck as it hits freeway speeds.

That’s when the driver noticed a dashboard gauge showing he was losing fluids — hundreds of gallons of wine. So, he called the CHP.

"I’ve listened to thousands and thousands of calls,” Modesto CHP officer Tom Olsen said. "This one’s up there in the top 10.”

The truck driver allegedly found Moreno in an unusual position. Moreno had unscrewed a valve underneath the truck, as it was traveling north on Highway 99.

That sent the tanker’s wine gushing, and Moreno gulping as much as he could.

"This individual was able to release the wine from under the tanker, and he placed himself underneath the tanker in such a manner, the best way to describe this was somebody doing like snow angels,” Officer Olsen said.

This Highway 99 red wine heist — big and bold — with a finish in handcuffs.

"This individual got exactly what they were looking for immediately,” Officer Olsen said.

The trucking company says they lost about 1,000 gallons of red wine, most of it ending up on Highway 99. That is enough to fill about 5000 bottles of red wine.

The schedule that isn't gonna happen is being released tonite.

I took a day off from work today. I think I could use a few more but with working from home not knowing what the future looks like don’t want to request too much time off.  Felt good to disconnect and just drive mr Di to his couple of appointments today. Get dishes done cook dinner and guess what?  Wash some more dishes.

Just hope that Carson Wentz will be well enough. That is all you can do.

Every state that has a team would have to be onboard. Very doubtful. CA has pretty much cancelled all sporting events until a vaccine is available to all. That's more than likely at least a year.

What happens in week two and a couple players on a team test positive? Quarantine the team for three weeks and forfeit those games too?

Sucks but I just don't see this season happening.

for the philly folks....what kind of an area is manayunk?  the daughter & her fiance are house hunting and seem to be focused on that area right now.  they're also going to look at other areas, including center city...but manayunk seems to be equidistant from their jobs.
