i don't know the philly neighborhoods at all...house hunting is weird right now with covid-19.  they actually put an offer on a house in manayunk earlier this week but were out-bid.  none of the people who made offers had actually been inside the house because the seller is still living there...family w/ kids. i can't imagine putting in an offer for house i've never set foot in...but these are the times we live in.

for the philly folks....what kind of an area is manayunk?  the daughter & her fiance are house hunting and seem to be focused on that area right now.  they're also going to look at other areas, including center city...but manayunk seems to be equidistant from their jobs.

My daughter lived in 3 or 4 different places in Manayunk.  Lots of row homes as you know although I would think affordable for a young couple.  Her one roommate ended up buying there and it is quite nice.  Walkable, lots to do (once opened again).  Parking is an issue, if they can get a place with a designated spot, or better yet a garage, huge plus!  Be mindful of any pest issues (like roaches) being by the river and some very old buildings they never go away, but can be managed.  One place had a spiral staircase going up 2 floors and 1 down to the basement and that spoke fire hazard to me it was so tight. If it was filled with smoke it would be hard to navigate your way down and out.    Let alone trying to move a bed.  We literally had to take apart a box spring and re assemble it.  Find one with a real staircase and an escape plan from 2nd and 3rd floors.  Most have back yards that are small of course but endless possibilities to make it a great space for grilling and chillin.  Really old homes, but the few I've been in had original wood floors re-done that were very nice.  Good luck in the hunt.

Then it could rapidly spread throughout the league. Football is about the worst professional sport for containing a virus. In training camp you have 80+ players and dozens of coaches and staff all on the same field and locker room. Good luck. Until we have a vaccine or herd immunity it only takes one case to start it all over again.

what happens if a couple of players don't get it in week 2? I know how the virus is spread..................anyone with a t.v., radio, computer, cell phone, mailbox, pigeon, ect knows how it works and how we're "all in this together".

I doubt they'd make it to week two. Thousands of people in the league interacting on a daily basis...not to mention what they do in their down time. You can't control them all or expect them all to be responsible with who they expose themselves to.

thanks, diapers!

the ones they've shown us pictures of are just like you described...older buildings but remodeled on the inside.  and they are making sure parking is included.  they're looking at another one tomorrow...actually allowed to go inside...so we'll see how that goes.

I've spent too many years on these boards, I was thinking she was still in her teens.

Ahhh well they'll fit right in then. I played kanjam against against a couple guys that lived there years ago. Asked the one how it was living in manayunk and he said "very gay" and that's all my knowledge of manayunk

You should do celebratory lines of blow instead. That'll wake his a** up so he can have a beer with you.

He’s not a dork. He’s busy having multiple beers with people he actually enjoys being around. That was his way of letting you down nicely.

Go home Mother Nature, you're drunk...

JFC.  He should be pissing you off by being still asleep when you arrive at noon to pick him up and bring you home.  I may have been to bed before 10:30 twice and that was due to an early day of day drinking :nonono:
