Today was an Oncology Appointment day for my mother. Always a bit of a stressful week (for me) leading up to those appointments after a new CT scan, you never know if it's going to be a good appointment, or a bad one.

In November, it was a great one. No signs of the Lung cancer showing in any of her scans. New scans in March, so new appointment today. Another great appointment, still no signs of the cancer showing!

Regular chemo was only 'controlling' the cancer, preventing it from growing (which it eventually did grow). After the chemo stopped working, they put her on a daily oral kind of 'chemo' (though it's not chemo), and after a year and a half of taking that, the cancer is gone.

Unfortunately, only people that have a lung cancer type which has a specific DNA profile are eligible for that treatment, but fortunately, my mother's cancer had that DNA profile.

Those pills, without insurance, would be $12,000.00 per month.

Yeah, it was just a matter of her cancer being DNA tested. If it didn't have the right DNA, it wouldn't have worked. But since it did, these pills zapped it. It's called 'targeted therapy' as opposed to 'chemo therapy'.

Went to return it then and got told I couldn't because it was a custom jersey.....that I selected from a drop down menu of available players.......and each player had different sizes available......

I ordered a DeJean screen printed jersey from NFL shop, which is still Fanatics anyway.

They must have folded it up and packaged it hot off the press. When it arrived I opened the package, and my jersey was all stuck together. Black sleeves sticking to numbers, numbers sticking to the letters on the nameplate. There was no way to open the jersey up without stuff peeling apart. It was ruined on arrival.

The good part is they sent me a return label, and shipped a new one out next business day delivery. And sent me a code for 25% off. So I was happy with the customer service. No questions asked. No painstaking process of having to send pics for them to check out...

But yeah... its always something. I don't now how they were allowed to form this monopoly.

Yes, which I knew. I don’t know if it’s because of the "De” with the second capital letter in the name (which I personally have as well), but his was the only name NOT available for custom jerseys. I’m talking 3rd starting lineman and long snappers are selectable online, but not cooper. I wanted his for the white corner aspect and a SB patch for the pick six, and the screen print was the only option for either.

I almost never wear the authentic for feat of stains, damage, etc — so figured a screen print one I can safely wear if going out to bars and stuff during football season to watch games with people. Also got like 25% off code because of issues with their systems the night of the Super Bowl.

I ordered all mine the eagles pro shop website which is still fanatics. I got tons of discount codes because of issues after the Super Bowl so I bought a few Eagles authentic vapor elite fuse that has the old "Eagles” font on the front that there were already doing a deep discount on.

Driver allegedly rage poops on car, putting a stain on Delco

The incident, which went viral on social media, is being investigated by Prospect Park police.

A motorist allegedly involved in a roadway dispute in Delaware County Wednesday could not let it mellow and instead rear-ended the other driver — not with her car but with her bare buttocks — before dumping her frustrations onto the hood of the other vehicle.

Listen, I’ve written about Delco for 18 years and even I can’t even believe I just wrote that sentence. But there I was, Wednesday night, scrolling Facebook like the elder millennial I am when video of the above alleged incident popped up in my feed as it quickly went viral.

At first, I didn’t think the footage — which was taken from the vantage point of someone in a third car watching it all go down — was real. Who would do such a thing in broad daylight with cameras everywhere these days? How does someone have a load like that at the ready? And why did the offending motorist look so happy getting back into her car?

I couldn’t wipe the incident out of my head Thursday and so I called Prospect Park Police Chief David Madonna to see if he was privy to the situation, since multiple people posted it happened within his jurisdiction.

Madonna confirmed the incident occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 4th and Madison Avenues in a residential area of the borough. He said both the assailant and victim are Delco residents and the incident happened as a result of road rage.

"Long story short, someone wasn’t moving fast enough so the other person cut them off and words were exchanged and here we are,” he said.

I get having a potty mouth when driving, I’m guilty of it myself, but having a potty on someone else’s car is an entirely different animal. If that’s what urineto behind closed doors, fine, but it’s a really crappy way to act in public.

At this point, it’s unclear if the alleged doo-dooer will feces charges. Madonna said his department is conducting a thorough investigation, which remains ongoing.

Delco is famous for getting weird, that’s why it’s my favorite Philly suburb. It has Easter flower sales outside the local gentleman’s club, a polling station at a funeral home, and a bar called Tipsy McStagger’s.

But this type of strange has no place in Delco, or anywhere else for that matter. It doesn’t just put a stain on the violated car, it puts a stain on the county, which is already going through tough times with the impending closure of Crozer-Chester Medical Center this week and Taylor Hospital last week.

Am I glad that this motorist in her alleged rage pulled a biological move instead of loaded gun? Sure, but that’s a very low and depressing bar. What should definitely be pulled, if this proves out, is her driver’s license. I don’t want anyone who makes such rash and irrational decisions anywhere near me on the road.

If you’re that angry — or have to use the bathroom that bad — stay home. People should not be clogging up our roads, or our legal system, with this kind of mess.

I'm not looking for Marriage advice. But, has anyone here gone through a separation or a divorce? Did it stick? Did you get back together with your spouse?

My wife and I are going through a rough few months. UGH. We've been married 6 years, and together for about 15 years. Maybe it's just run its course?

I kept going back and forth if I should reply. I didn't get married until my mid to late 30's, and it was with a woman from this board. I'll never pretend our story\dynamics are normal considering when we are having a conversation one of us will interject "YOUR FACE!!!" from time to time.

So I guess the first question you need to answer is to define what is "rough". Is it a matter of a fight that has both parties with their heels in, or, are you both just not jiving at all.

Maybe ask yourself if what you have is something you want to fight for? And does she feel like fighting too?

But if the root of it is a lack of communication... just suck it up and go to couples therapy. I'm a hypocrite even suggesting that (you would have to DRAG me to a shrink in most cases), but I will tell you that when we were going through the adoption process, we had to meet with a shrink to help us prepare for the challenges ahead. It was amazingly helpful. I wasn't a situation where you are telling them where you are at, being judged, and the told how you need to fix crap. It was, for at least me, an assessment of my mental state and guidance to help me with thinking about how to approach challenges I may have in front of me.

Sometimes if two people aren't talking it takes a neutral party to get the dialogue going.

My 2 cents are wrapped in spoiler tags. Or at least, I attempted to do so. You can skip over the part in the box if you want. The remaining beneath the box suggests that changes in long term relationships are expected. Its not really advice, or opinion. Some truths that may be a possible explanation for your "rough patch".

Short answer if you want to skip it all. No. Never been divorced or separated. With my wife since 2002. Married since 2009. My parents are married for over 40 years, but hell yes there are times they piss each other off.

I would say love doesnt run its course. It is eternal.

But thats me, and everyone is different.

There are couples who want to always be together. And there are couples who like doing their own thing. Those couples who like doing their own thing- I dont think thats love. Those people would probably tell me to shove it though...

In my mind, if you think it may have run its course, then I think you havent known love yet. But, you may think thats a ridiculous sentiment.

So.... I dont think we can give you the right answer. Its a very individual thing.

The way partners interact will change through the years. That is natural. Old couples can spend entire days together and hardly need to talk. Everything has been said. They already know... Everything each other likes, wants, thinks, and needs... They can hardly speak and their love is probably stronger than anything. Theyre not going to look and act like honeymooners. And yet, their bond is so strong, it can be fatal if broken (ie. one partner dies, the other soon dies of a broken heart).

If there is truly nothing she is doing wrong, or nothing you are doing wrong then maybe you are just entering a new phase of the relationship. Maybe you get busy with kids and dont have as much time together. You're running through life like sidekicks, dividing and conquering running here and there just checking things off a to do list and most of the things on there arent even for yourselves! Or maybe a family member is sick and their caretaking is a heavy burden distracting you or your partner from each other. Maybe the intimacy is fading because your sex hormone levels naturally arent going to be the same as when you were in your teens and 20s. Love language may change from physical touch, to little surprises and kind words with an occasional "date night". Maybe going through these phases can feel like a rough patch at first. But theyre natural, and only make you a stronger couple when you ride through the rough patches together. Just a thought.
