Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

About a week ago my wife says to me that she's "going to settle down and dial back with her online shopping habits".

Today, 5 packages arrived in the mail for her. 5!

Not to brag but, the man, the myth, the legend, the GOAT, liked one of my posts on Xitter. I’m referring to, of course, Sir Robert Plant. I suddenly feel different, more important. Thank goodness for social media.

It feels like a Friday. I HATE THAT!! I'm all ready to 'weekend' and we are still not there. UGH.

Nice relaxing Sunday, though. No Birds to stress over.

I may even look for a job this weekend. May look. Don't push me!

On a Zoom call now, for one of my AA meetings.

A woman just asked if we'd rather have sex or.............mashed potatoes. I like both, so.............I chose Vodka. Since I'm a recovering alcoholic. LOL

Let me ask you all a serious question. Say you had a job that required you to travel for 8 days, then home for 8 days. Then let’s say, occasionally during these travels, plans fall through, and you get stuck at a hotel for some, or all, of those 8 days. Then let’s say that, while you’re stuck at the hotel you can’t do anything, swim, workout, drink, sightsee, anything because, even though you’re stuck at the hotel you still have to be ready to leave within 15 minutes if something changes. Lastly, let’s say the company you work for pays all expenses, a per diem, plus $700/day regardless of whether you’re working, or stuck at the hotel. How long would you last at that job?

FYI, the answer to this question wound up being "about 6 months” lol.

We average between 5-10 Amazon packages of hot woman clothes every single day. My wife returns at least half of them after trying everything on. Recently, she cleaned out the attic and her closet, and we filled 10 gigantic leaf bags with all of her ****, and paid some broad to sell it for us and keep 50% of the profit.

The poor plumber guy literally started crying when he was apologizing for the shower pan. Never had that happen before. I couldn't really lay into him after that. We're all people (except for Arthur Jackson's clones), people make mistakes, all you can do is hope they own up to it and make it right.

Yeah, about making it right. Finally, today, more than 3 months later, the shower glass was installed meaning we'll actually, God willing, get to use our shower again tomorrow morning. The plumbing company started out like they were bound and determined to do right with us, had a tile team over here within a week to tear everything out, then.......nothing. Week after week of nothing. Finally, after 6 weeks, and them being unable to give us any idea when they'd get our shower repaired, we got a quote from another contractor and told them we wanted them to pay for it. They said no, we're going through insurance. Their insurance company offered us about 20% of the cost of the repair and they refused to go higher. We got the other contractor to do the job, and now it's time for the lawsuit. F these crooks. I'm going to try to make them hurt as much as they've made us hurt.

What was the original scope of your project? I hired a contractor for a full bathroom remodel of our master bath a few years ago. His work looked great, but when he left he had two circuits crossed in a switch box which would’ve burned my house down if not for the GFCI outlet on the one circuit. And he completely ghosted me and stopped responding to me and blocked me on social media when I tried to get him to come back to fix it (before I dug into it and figured out why the GFCI kept tripping on my own and fixed it myself). Now, a couple of years later half of the floor tiles are loose and several of the wall tiles in the shower have cracked. Awesome.

The original scope was to fix leaking tub faucets which they could not get to so they just capped the lines rendering them useless. It was while they were looking for the lines that he went in the wrong direction and cut the shower pan. They tried a couple of times to patch the pan from underneath which, of course, didn't work, necessitating them to rip the floor up and replace the pan and shower floor. Ripping the floor up required them to remove wall tiles which are now obsolete meaning that either all of the tile get replaced, or we wind up with mix and match tile, which we don't feel we should have had to accept. We tried as hard as we could to work with them, they just wouldn't get it done. I'm sorry to hear about your dilemma. This stuff is expensive and to find our you've been ripped off is beyond frustrating.

Ewwwwwww. Looks like a Shark bite.

It's very difficult to see your parents age, right before your eyes. Ugh. Both parents are in their mid-70's. Mom is physically losing it, Dad is mentally losing it. 😥
