May 15, 20205 yr Anyone here have a drone and use it? I'm trying to talk myself in/out of buying one. I already figure I can check my gutters with it, check out my deer hunting properties, and check my goose hunting spreads from the air with it, but there's also a good chance I'll use it 5 times and it'll sit around for years. Anyone actually get good use out of one?

Anyone actually get good use out of one? I have a coworker who has them. He’s F’in obsessed. Literally one or like 3 non-work topics this dude ever talks about. he’s 100% NOT into sports. You can be 3 people riding together to lunch, person 1 is talking to person 2 about last nights sporting event, and in the middle of person 1 talking about sports he’ll start simultaneously talking to person 2 about drones or some other topic. 90% of the time the topics he talks about are things nobody else has any interest in discussing or hearing about. It’s wild how this dude can’t comprehend it the opposite way.

Most of my friends who were adopted are a completely different race from their parents... so like, they've known from a pretty young age. But an exes niece didn't find out until she was about 12 (and found out on her own by realizing timelines of certain things didn't make sense), and while she was ultimately okay with everything, there definitely was some damage control and high emotions the first few months.

We will be completely open about it from the start. They have found that if it's always part of a child's "normal" it's less stressful for them to process. I wasn't aware of all those details, but really cool to know. Obviously the birth parents are the uncontrollable factor in how much they do/don't want to be involved, but I've always preferred the idea of child being raised knowing they were adopted. Not because their birth parents don't want them, but because they have parents who DO want them and are doing everything they can to give them a great life with access to opportunities they otherwise would have had growing up in Foster care or worse.
