It is weird that as restrictions are lifting we are hearing of more peeps we know getting or having been sick recently.  I still check the number of cases near me and seems we're doing OK, but who knows?  This will obviously be around for quite awhile.

Heard one of the rich mushroom farmer families near us was infected.  Most likely by another family member, but could have also been a visiting nurse who also works in a long term care facility.  Both elderly parents were hospitalized and as far as I know one is now home.  Their one daughter also had it.

I don't want this thing to spike or people to die... but if that inevitable happens, I 100% hope it's to those morons protesting and bishing about how wearing a mask is an infringement on their liberties as an American

Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

the irony is the lack of social distancing may not be because of choice but the size of people attempt this.

Soooo, I have decided to trade in my running shoes for a trail bike (not mountain but trail) for my new form of trying to stay in shape. Although it is a lot more fun and you can cover a lot more ground I have to say that I'm surprised that it seems to be also a much tougher leg work out than running. Running seems to have the edge on the cardio side (get a better cardio workout in a shorter amount of time).

At my age though I think it was only a matter of time until I started having knee issues.

I am not going to my gym even though it has opened up. But still do not feel comfortable. As waiting to see the states all flatten the curbs.

26.8 mile bike ride Saturday with my boys. The trail we were on goes for 40 miles and we want to try and ride down and back before summer is over. We went 13.4 miles and stopped took a drink and rested at a picnic area. Started back and got about 1/2 way back and the youngest realized that he left his cell phone at the rest area. So they rode back to get it and I rode to the end to get the truck. Quite the adventure trying to hook up along the trail with very little cell phone coverage. 😅

I had a similar day.  Instead of cleaning the condo and heading home I got a box of wine and a pizza and stayed up way to late before passing out.

Yeah.  Those curbs are a major tripping hazard!

That sounds better than riding a bike for 26 miles.

I disagree

I still type "b" in the address bar every now and then.  Haven't completely broken the habit.  Probably because it feels almost exactly like our old home.  Credit to @VaBeach_Eagle there

That's exactly how I used to get to the old board, type the b then hit enter and I'd be on the board. Now, I have to get used to typing 'e' and hitting enter. lol

I type "wh" so the WU address comes up

Yeah as it is W.U. not W.H. my friend!

Does anybody know a lake that's not crowded?  I'd like to teach a friend how to kayak.

Marsh creek is probably "crowded", but it's a big lake and there's no gas motors allowed so you should be able to find a bunch of calm water for a first timer.

Also, there's some big bass and musky in there if you know where to look

Used to run Tuesday night tournaments there for a bass fishing club I was in. Seen a dude bring a 7 pound bass to the scale one night. Thing was like 2 footballs taped together

Must be a very huge fan of bass fishing I take it!
