November 5, 20204 yr I've talked about the crackhouse up the road from my neighborhood before. All manner of trouble and troublemakers associated with it. We suspect that it had something to do with the shooting on our street a few weeks back, but don't know that for sure. The old bat who lived there OD'd and died about a year ago, and her son moved in. He was supposedly clean and decent, and things calmed down there for a while, but, for the past 6 months or so, it's been back to what it was. Ever since Covid hit, I almost exclusively run up and down my little street for exercise. At .3 miles each time around, 10, 12, 14 times + around gets old quickly. On Sunday mornings, though, when traffic is lighter, I'll venture out of my neighborhood, and up the main road, then run through some neighborhoods up the way. Breaks up the monotony. This route takes me right past the crackhouse. Anyway, Sunday morning before last I ran past there, all was quiet, through the other neighborhoods, then, about 25 minutes later, on my way back past, there were 5 sheriffs, an ambulance, a fire truck, and the fire marshal, pretty much blocking the street in front of the crackhouse. Yesterday, I found out that the d00de who lived there had OD'd, and was dead, right out front, in his pickup, with a needle sticking out of his arm, when I ran past. Kinda been giving me the heebie jeebies since I found that out. Thanks for listening.

November 5, 20204 yr I had a similar issue @The_Omega...... one job I had many moons ago was close enough that I would walk to the office. However to do so....... I had to walk along the railroad line...... one morning as I was walking the tracks I passed next to a car parked close to the tracks...some guy sitting in it........ I moved over to the far tracks since who knows what is what... I found on the way home the guy in the car shot himself shortly after I passed...... the police and coroner's office were investigating when I passed by again that afternoon. It bugged me for weeks.

They moved up to New York to live with their father, allegedly to straighten them out. There's been a car with New York plates parked out front for a few days now, so one of them will probably move into the house and get the family business going again.
