That's part of the reason I mostly drink wine now. No gas/bloat, you don't have to piss every hour, and you don't have to get up every ten minutes to go to the fridge for another one...and wine tasting has basically become a hobby for me.  My go to cheap domestic beer would be regular Budweiser. I don't like lite beer because it tastes artificial to me kind of syrupy. 

Miller Lite, ice cold cans, are my drink all day by the pool beer. No shame in that.

I’ve been drinking mostly bourbon recently. 

I don't drink to get drunk much at all anymore, so it's usually a good whiskey, good beer or good wine. Unless I'm having a cigar then it's likely a Port or an Islay Scotch. Been trying Scotch a bit more lately, need to find a good place to get a flight of different styles, though I know I like the Islay ones, especially with a cigar. When I was 18 a marine I knew got me a bottle of Chivas Regal and we got f'n hammered on it, which sucked in two fold since I didn't like the taste then and it made me sick so it kind of made me not want to try Scotch. Cut forward 25 years and I am finding I like Scotch, just unsure about what I really like and since it's an expensive trial and error process so I have stuck to what I know.

Yea people ask me what beer I drink and my answer is always "cold". I've been on a Busch light kick for a month or so now. Had labatt blue light for the first time in years the other day. I'd be drinking that if it wasn't too expensive for my tastes. Rolling Rock is one of my go to's, also. 

We live right around the corner from the beer distributor. (actually we just walked the dog down there to get slushies ). Sometimes we'll go and get a couple six packs of fancy beers for the night. That's the only time I get really hammered anymore. I'll drink 6 8%+ beers in 4 hours, that usually leads to a glass of 2 of bourbon, and hang on.

If you're any where near Hamburg, check out cigar international next to Cabela's. They have a huge selection of whiskeys and a decent amount of scotch too. Me and the wife go up at least once a month over the summer on the bike, grab a cigar and a couple glasses of whiskey (she gets bloody Mary's) and sit out on their deck.

My wife made us Hendrick's Gin martinis yesterday muddled with cucumber and poured into a martini glass that I couldn''t fit my pinky on.  It might have been the most delicious drink I've ever tasted other than Blopheph's Surprise Hedge Rope Shots.  

Only had 2 of them, and I was hammered.  Martinis are 'ukn awesome.

Busch Light was my college beer. It would go on sale for $6.99 a case. We used to buy it forty cases at a time.

I had to move from the East Coast a few years ago. I'm in Seattle area now where you can pretty much only smoke cigars in public at private clubs and Native American casinos....wheee. There is a place called Suncadia that's a resort with a restaurant that has an outside designated area that does wine and cigar pairings. Nice part is we have a ton of small distilleries around here and they make some pretty good whiskeys. Woodinville Whiskey is one of my favorites of the locals for non-flavored. Brown Sugar Bourbon (BSB) is another one, but that's flavored...great as a mixer.

i got a bottle of oregon spirit bourbon a couple months ago and its really good. i know its not washington, but close.

In cawledge, it was any beer that I could afford.  Even had to resort to King Cobra malt liquor in the scud missile bottles.  When I got a job and had money, my taste in beer got more snobbish.  But after 40, beer bloats the sheet out of me.  Haven’t had anything but bourbon for at least 6 years now.

Working on a bottle of the voyage 15 special wheated mash Bill currently.  I have enjoyed the different ones I have tried, but each bottle is different.  Some are a bit harsh like a Makers, some are like caramel.  This one has a salted caramel flavor to it.
