Looking deeper it turns out that the estimate is around $250M for ballroom security itself, I.e. for the ballroom. The rest is for other general WH security improvement. So the name of the funding request is wrong and indeed a sizable chunk is directly "for the ballroom”.

I love that Fetterman focuses on what he thinks is best for the country even when we disagree and he isn't afraid to go against his party. He is like a 90s Democrat.

Ok, so you like Fetterman's basic position but you don't like his policies. Did you also like Manchin? Murkowski? Rand Paul? Why don't you like Massie? I'll go back to the comments of the other posters. Other than the border, what exactly do you like? The softer culture stuff has some items but they are very minor and they are offset by his own infractions (like the way he tries silence his critics, vaccine policy, etc.). Trump is a disaster on the major items such as the economy, uniting the country, foreign policy, etc. Point to me the specifics of why you disagree.
