April 25Apr 25 I’d feel much better about this trade if it was just pick 98. The 2027 3rd is a little much. Greenard will be 29 in a week or 2. He’s two years removed from worthy production. What’s he got left to warrant this investment? I guess if he plays well this year and the team does well, the price will be forgotten.

Remember AAV is not the same as cap charges due to bonuses and void years. Greenard’s cap number in 2026 will likely be around 7mm.

I usually don't question this kind of stuff but this one I do

Pushing his big cap hit from an extension back 2-3 years from now. Or Howie could not want to invest that much into the dline only when we will need to resign Dejean and Q soon as well. Dejean and Carter are free agents the same year due to Carters fifth year option, Q a year after Dejean. This all assuming we pickup fifth year options for Q and Carter.
