We are not 2 years removed from winning the SB. Its 1 year removed. He was great the year we won the Super Bowl.

By the time he plays for us, it will have been "2 seasons ago" that he had his last productive season. But I get what you're saying...tomato, tomahto. Regardless, I just hope they get good return on their investment with him. Barring injury, I can see him being super motivated and producing this year...but after that? If he helps us get to and/or win the SB this year, I certainly won't care about what we gave up for him. I like Greenard, my only issue is that 2027 3rd we gave up.

Phillips has never had a 10 sack season and has had no more than 6 sacks in the past 3 seasons. He does have youth on his side.

If we get close to 2024-2025 Greenard, which is very possible, the draft picks and the contract will be a bargain.

Haha, great point. This goes unnoticed a lot of the time. He came out of that basement, without his red stapler, HOWIE STRONG.

Greenard will benefit from the push that Carter, Davis and Ojomo get. We saw what Davis can do when he's in shape, Ojomo gets better each year and Carter needs to improve this year. Reports are he's in great shape and working hard to improve on last year.

Hunt made a big jump last year and hopefully, that improves. Nolan Smith didn't progress as expected but was hurt for 5 games......hopefully, he plays for a bigger contract.

The Dline is on the verge of being dominant again......can't wait to see it.

Likely there will be some type of restructure. Howie always makes it work. Howie's been manipulating that cap for over a decade now. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, Greenard is obviously not panning out so far. I didn't mind the trade at the time, I didn't like the 2027 3rd we gave up though...especially now that pick will be a high 3rd.

Is he underperforming due to injury? Hard to say. Either way, it sucks. Doesn't matter now anyway. Hopefully he gives us something next season.

He's playing hurt. I saw a few times during the Panthers where he was clearly limping which means that ankle injury is still lingering. Best to sit him and let him heal.

Although, they're thin at the EDGE position. I doubt Nolan Smith will be available for the Cowboys given he sustained a concussion in the Panthers game.

I had nothing against but this trade looks like a disaster now. The worst is Howie giving him an extension geez

I posted there is a disconnect between Howie and what Vic wants at that position. Vic wants a guy who can drop into coverage but Huff and Greenard are not those guys. Greenard is a rush the passer/set the edge guy. Vic is misusing him by having him drop into coverage. I charted that Greenard was in for 20 pass plays against the Panthers and he dropped into coverage 8 times. That is crazy and is not Greenard's game. I don't know if Vic wanted him here or not but you don't pay a guy 98M and give up two third round choices to drop him into space.

I don't believe for a second Howie is out there signing players for millions of dollars that Vic doesn't want. If that's true it's absolutely crazy.
