Posted Saturday at 01:35 AM2 days 6'9" 345lbs. from U of Miami. Massive player. Not ready to plug and play - most likely a project. But with that size and the right coaching, he could turn out to be a good player.https://www.nfl.com/prospects/markel-bell/32004245-4c50-6870-7576-40ee83a92982
Saturday at 01:38 AM2 days Feels like a 5th round pick at the top of round 3.Potential for sure but I'm not sure he was flying off the board anytime soon.
Saturday at 01:38 AM2 days This guy is a mountain. Will they move him to guard? Or try to convert him to RT?

Saturday at 01:46 AM2 days Hate the pick. Big, slow and not athletic. Might have Jordan Mailata’s size but not an ounce of his athletic ability.

This is a guy you take a flyer on in the 5th-6th round not near the top of the third. People comparing him to King Dunlop forget that King was a seventh round pick.

For what it's worth PFF had Bell as their 10th ranked OT prospect and Drafttek had him ranked as their 9th ranked OT prospect. Perhaps a reach with some of the other guys available but maybe not as bad as once thought.
Saturday at 01:56 AM2 days Author Biggest positive I saw in his profile aside from his size is that he made big strides from 2024 to 2025. He's also only 21.

Not sure what his role is, but this seems like a no brainer.
Saturday at 02:04 AM2 days Feels like a reach. Just like round 2, felt there was better value available at this pick.
Saturday at 02:06 AM2 days One thing to be said about the draft in general is that after about 60 guys or so it really cratered. Its an all-timer in low depth. This might be a year when taking a reach in round 3 is just as good as taking the projected 75th best player.
Saturday at 02:14 AM2 days Would’ve preferred Dunker. McCoy still out there but who knows bad his knee is but he ran a 4.37 at his pro day. Wouldn’t really need him until next year like Bell.
Saturday at 02:34 AM2 days FWIW he made a huge leap last year (from what I read) and he was an excellent pass blocker at Miami in 2025.To be a good starting RT, yes he has a long way to go, but he is not as raw as Mailata was.
Saturday at 02:42 AM2 days Second bad draft in a row. We will be ready for a coach firing and rebuild by the end of the season.
Saturday at 05:52 AM2 days Personally I'd have taken Tiernan or Dunker all day over this guy, this guy is probably still there in the 5th. I don't get this one at all.
Saturday at 10:13 AM2 days He will be a IR guy with a phantom injury. He won't be able to practice but he can spend all his time with the nutrition staff and strength coaches to try and remake his body. In fact that is what he should do from right now until OTAs next year. Don't worry about getting on the field just do everything to reshape that body and give it more flexibility. Speed guys right now will go under him all day.
Saturday at 10:52 AM2 days It will be challenging for him to play with proper pad level. Still, he allowed ZERO sacks on 558 pass blocking snaps last season. Being only 21, everything about him is still developing. He should be in the lab for 2 years. let's see how he is then.
