So apparently Roseman has said ...

Jesus, man, do not believe ANYTHING someone like that says to the media. Don't even take it seriously.

It's an attempt to manipulate the fans, not to reveal his thinking about the offseason. He has no reason to do the latter, every reason to do the former.

Hmmmm so Mort didn't get his report from Carson or his team?   So the Eagles or someone within the Eagles are releasing this information?

No man it's all made up BS. But haters gonna hate

The Eagles made a choice you dope. They chose Carson and what quarterback doesn’t want to start? Seriously who wants to come in and be a backup especially on the tram you won the super bowl with and led to the playoffs. The Eagles chose the guy who was on the sidelines so yes they made things easier for Carson by letting Foles walk out the door.

You'e a lying liar who lies.

So apparently Roseman has said that Wentz will be back and that he's a big part of the future of this team?

Now that could be posturing to try and keep Wentz value high but let's assume it isn't.

So Howie comes back, Doug comes back and Wentz comes back? What the actual F is this garbage? No accountability let's just run it back with the same key people? Brilliant plan to rebuild that.

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, yet expecting different results.

Wrong, I have never refused to answer anything.

Wentz refused...🤣

They always do that, pretend to value a player.  Same with Ertz and others he was asked about.  Forget what they say, watch what they DO.

So I agree with you that they do these things that gives the impression they value a player whilst trying to hold their value etc etc. But the comment about like losing one of your fingers? I don't know that seemed a little more than just playing clever games.

Who knows.  Maybe they don't have a decision yet, maybe they're always thinking make it seem you really want the player to increase any trade value.  They've said plenty of things before then made different decisions.  Traded players, fired coaches, etc. after praising them to the media.

is that a double negative? So, he tells the truth, right?

Very true and I know all this and understand its all a game of chess. I was just frustrated and reacted to it. I don't want to see them run it back with these 3 because to me nothing is going to change if they do.

They should announce tomorrow that Hurts will be the starter next year. If Wentz wants out let him cancel the remainder of his deal and get paid elsewhere.
End of controversy. Unless Hurts craps out. But at least if he does, he's not a monster drain on the cap.

If I had my druthers we'd draft Mac Jones but that's just me. I don't expect anyone else to be on board with that.

I mean it does seem like that.  They didn't even talk about Hurts, they hyped up Carson.  Doug continued to say they can work together to get back to success.

thing is if howie comes out and says we are looking to trade him, it's going to make them look desperate and other teams will think that he's not a good player and they wont trade for him especially for this contract. you have to say good things about him especially for the money you paid him.

And that's my worry, I think they are going to try and convince Wentz to stay. Big mistake i think.

well, if I learned anything last night. Sudfield is no Koy Detmer. He's not even an AJ Feeley.

For a guy who has been with the Eagles as long as he has, I'd expect more from him.

It’s not really all that fair to him considering what he was thrown in, but you would think a guy they have been grooming for this long would have performed a lot better than that.

yes. I don't expect a 3rd stringer to be a rock star, but I do expect him to look like he belongs out there.

As for that old fart Les Brown- it just eats you media types alive when a man is a real man and refuses to play YOUR game. Carson doesn't have to say ANYTHING to you dogs. When people falsely accused Jesus, he often times never opened up his mouth at all. Why? He knew the truth about himself, and knew his accusers were liars and not worth replying to- they did NOT deserve an answer. Carson believes in Jesus and is just doing what his master taught him- the RIGHT thing to do. F the media hounds, drooling and slobbering for a morsel of a lying rumor.

Per Andrew Brandt:

Dead money charge if Eagles moved on from: Carson Wentz: $66 million ($34 million if traded)

With those numbers, I doubt they move on from him. They'll sit down and make things right

The fact there are some people who have paid attention to this team over the last few years and honestly think this all just being made up by the media is proof of just how stupid most people are.

If it's true Wentz isn't here next year. If it isn't true he will be the starter next season no matter what. I think it's as simple as that.

I really don't think they are going to throw all of that money out of the door when Hurtz is still a .

So fans think this,  you don't think actual professional football GMs don't know this is what the Eagles are doing? 🙄

We have first stringers who can’t look like they belong out there.

The team barely looked worse with guys off the street than they did with their intended starting lineup.

Wentz seems soft and entitled. He's starting to embody everything I disliked about McNabb and he doesn't have any of McNabb's success. That said they'll have to make nice with him to get the best out of him next season.

Back in 2017 when he was in Mr. MVP, there was an article written about Carson being such a control freak, however it was being written in a positive light.  In the article there was a quote from his mother, Carson has to always be in control, the family had to walk on egg shells every day until they knew what mood Carson was in that day.   That was from a positive article about Carson.   If what is being said know is true about wanting a trade, then Carson is probably the problem, an entitle, Holy roller who thinks it should be his way or the highway.  If that is the case, I say good riddance.   Just another athlete with an attitude problem that will never be fixed and he will just be a memory in 3 years.  Because he will fail no matter where he goes.  Sad but true.  Too many example to list, but I will give you one name.  Jay Cutler, all the talent in the world.  Never took responsibility for his play.  Pouted, pointed fingers at everyone but himself.
