Best post yet in here. But keep hearing cap could go to 195 next year.

And we know with the new TV deals in 2022 , it could be 220M

The floor for 2021 is $175 million per the adjusted CBA and I agree, it will skyrocket in 2022. But that's a lot of ground to make up.

There are several things at play here, but they seem glaringly obvious to me. First, he's clearly been coddled by the organization. He's been anointed the starter from day one, and despite Foles' s

It's too bad Wentz couldn't get Howie fired as well before he goes. That would have made all this ok in my book.

That would have somewhat salvaged this.

I think getting rid of Wentz is going to end up making us look foolish.

Just considering trading him makes us look foolish.

Oh mate you don't need to preach to me I'm right there with you. Howie is a joke. He should not be anywhere near this team, he should not be leading a rebuild. This is a rebuild because he's caused it. And the only way out of this is to draft well and that's not something he can do.

If reports are true, he is getting rid of another unwanted QB for a kings ransom right now, so maybe it's time to ease up a bit on this one.

I'll give you this... You're entertaining!

But I thought you said you don't use the quote feature?

Thank you, never reveal your powers my friend.

I just learned it today.......lol

What's the latest reports in terms of price? He will still mess up the draft picks.

At some point enough is enough, right?  The Wentz stuff alone has set the team back five years.  To wit:

He drafted the wrong guy in Wentz when Michael Thomas, Zeke, Tyreek Hill and Joey Bosa, among others, were still on the board.
He kept Wentz over Foles after the Super Bowl season despite an increasingly concerning history of issues.
He signed Wentz to that preposterous contract a year too early
He then drafted Hurts, which seems to have destroyed the fragile Wentz's confidence
He's now trying to dump Wentz and his enormous contract which creates a major cap management problem and cripples the Eagles chances of getting out of the basement.

And we haven't talked about Jeffery, Jackson, the other Jackson, Peters and so on...

Good stuff Hawkeye, some one with reason on here.

what rock do you live under? He's regressed the last two seasons. And his elite athleticism that was a huge part of his 2017 is now ancient history.

He also is now due top QB $$ for the forseeable future, for nowhere near the production he was capable of at his best.

Maybe he goes to another team who protects him from himself and he finds some confidence to continue his career as a game manager. But he's done here, for so many reasons. Continuing to ignore them and act like they don't exist makes you look like you haven't been paying attention to this player (and his relationship with his teammates) over the last 2-3 seasons.

Look foolish to whom?  Keeping a disgruntled $34 million a year "franchise" quarterback who is in major regression might also not be viewed charitably.  They're backed into a corner.

Really? He was one if the worst QBs last year and was benched for a rookie. I don't think anyone would blame the Eagles for trading him.

If this is just #20 for Wentz, I'd be pretty happy tbh. But yeah, "bidding war" sounds nice.

Yes sir this is correct, get over the delusion of 2017.

I'd absolutely take that BUT like I said Howie will stuff up the pick.

Wow, dumbest post of the day!

Sorry Carson but you are gone.....

So you have an off year and that's it? There is a reason we will probably get a first. Because Wentz is a real QB. And what will we have? Jalen Hurts? Oh joy.

I can't help but think he has a physical issue related to either the knee or back injuries  that go back to college.  He just hasn't been the same guy.

Nobody cares....

And yes that is the biggest concern, will Howie screw up the #6 pick?

It'll make Howie look foolish. FWIW I think he will go elsewhere and he will turn it around. I don't think he'll be a top 10 QB but I think he will play well somewhere else.

Which will depress me even more. Jalen Hurts is not the answer. I promise you.

You don't need to try and convince me bud. I don't think Hurts is the long term answer either.

I think he is.

It's not a question of will Howie screw up the pick but more so of who he will blame when he does.

Agree to disagree.
