Uh Foles has gotten benched in Chicago and Jacksonville. The magic is gone. I don't want him back to watch him suck. That would be depressing. And by the way whatever GM made that deal would be the biggest moron in the league. Wentz is worth first round picks. Foles isn't close to that. That's stupid.

You do know I was being sarcastic?

There are several things at play here, but they seem glaringly obvious to me. First, he's clearly been coddled by the organization. He's been anointed the starter from day one, and despite Foles' s

The best part of this is maybe Jeff can finally start to see that Howie is a bigger part of the problem then he realizes.

Hasn't worked so far, but maybe this is the tipping point.

The Eagles royally screwed this up. When Foles won the super bowl I wanted them to trade Wentz immediately, at that time Wentz value was so high, they could’ve gotten a first round pick for him, maybe even 2 with other picks as well. Wentz season that year was fools gold, they were so loaded that pretty much any competent qb was going to do well with that team, Foles proved that. Now it’s too late, even if they get a decent return for him that dead cap hit is gonna suck.

They definitely screwed this up.  Bombed at a massive level.

So if/when Howie trades Wentz he’ll officially have zero Pro-Bowlers on the team that he drafted.

Great job Howie! Even a monkey could throw darts at a draft board and do better than that.

This organization is a crap show.  The ownership of this team should be humiliated at this level of failure, instead of enabling it.  It is no wonder that we are in this mess.

Absolutely. We just have to look at the 2 people making the decisions here. Its the same 2 guys.

This level of failure is absurd.  Best of luck to Carson.  He is going to end up being the luckiest guy in this.  He is away from this mess.

Well Carson and Doug. I think Doug has had a lucky escape too.

That ITB podcast says it all.  Carson owns part of this, but the majority of the failure falls to the organization.  This is a disgusting failure and there is no way to spin it.  When he heads to the next destination and goes back to his 2017 level (while we are stuck with Hurts), the optics are going to be really, really bad.   My only hope is that it pushes Howie out of the door.

Oh there's no doubt. For as much as I think the organization probably has over protected Carson they have majorly failed him. They haven't given him the true weapons to be a top top QB. They used a second round pick last year on a QB. They didn't trade Foles when he had value and instead brought him back as a shadow over Wentz. When you have a player with as much talent as Carson does and that player doesn't work out then its a complete failure on all sides.

They failed in all of the stuff that we all can easily see, but the bigger failures are likely things that we don't see and won't ever know.

As Mosher said, the worst part is going to come when they trot out and try to spin this.  I hope the hack Philly media is up to the task of bombing away on their new targets.

It's all BS. I bought it too, for a while. But it's still BS.

If this was really Wentz getting cuddled, screw him! If it was him not getting cuddled enough, screw him, too!

And for the "no weapons" debate: That excuse doesn't go anywhere either. Why did Foles look so much better? One time thing. Why did Hurts look so much better then? There is a point where even the biggest Wentz defenders (like me) have to realize that this is Wentz not working out. And now what? Blame DP? Roseman? Lurie? Please. Everyone thought this would work out, most of us (like me) thought it until this season, too.

It's not reasonable to lay this on them. I say it's time we blame Wentz for coming up short. For throwing balls so bad that your eyes pop out. For no real leadership when we needed it. Time to move on.

Oh yeah they are going to try and spin this one there's no doubt about that. They should just put their hands up and admit their failings. But they won't.

Marcus Smith, Danny Watkins.

Watkins was Reid endorsed, was he not?

Nothing to base off other than a thought I had today. I wonder if Wentz & Ertz get packaged together in a trade deal, Colts makes so much sense for both of them.

That's a very real possibility.  The Colts sure get better in that scenario.

Sorry. There are people here that would call that a good trade.

Actually I think RG3 throws a tad bit better. That's depressing.

I'll say to the Bears for a 1 in 2021 & a 2 in 2022.  He'd also be a good fit in Denver.

Colts for two 1st round picks

Colts, 2021 first round pick and a 2022 third round pick with the Eagles giving back a fifth just to sweeten the deal.

James Thrash and a 5th.
