Bears first, a 4th and BDN.

I hope for Wentz it is the Colts. 

I can see him prosper there a lot easier than in Chicago.

Wow, you've changed your tune quite a bit since our discussion on this earlier (in a separate thread) when I suggested a 2021 2nd and a conditional 2022 2nd.

Wrong.  His mega-deal with $100 million in guaranteed money hasn’t even kicked in yet.  If he  pulls a T.O. and tries to force a trade the Eagles have a catastrophe on their hands.  Players with that kind of money coming can set the agenda.

Since we are talking Bears(#20) or Colts(#21) seem to make the most sense, there definitely is a 2nd pick involved. I'd say a 3rd would be necessary, also.

I think SanFran (#12) comes into this at some point.

My ""out of the blue" pick is Carolina (#8).

And STILL the main issue remains.  How will that dreck Howie screw up the picks?

I wonder if maybe NO gets involved.  Payton has praised Wentz in the past.  If anyone can "fix" him my money would be on Payton.  

Regarding the picks ... and let me preface this by saying I don't think there is any chance this would happen but ... can you imagine we take Chase at 6 and Smith falls (in much the same way Lamb and even Jeudy did last year) to whatever pick we get from dealing Wentz and we then take him too?

The Bears probably understand the dynamic with Nick, but he could very well get cut, too.  It's funny to think, though.

That would top any move Howie has ever made before, including dealing Bradford to Minny for a 1 and a 4 and dealing Maxwell to Miami to move up in the 1st (2016 draft).

If he pulls that off, I'd immediately fire him and find someone better to use the picks.

If we move wentz and he winds up lighting it up and we suck with hurts or some failed qb pick the city Is going to 🔥

You’re right about the money, can still fine him if he chooses to sit out. 
 

Either way, I just disagree that he has leverage. He is under contract, and he can’t force them to trade him. 

Wentz to the Bears for a first round pick in 2021, third round pick in 2022, and Nicholas Edward Foles.

Colts for a 2nd round pick and a conditional 2022 pick that can turn into a 1st if Wentz wins MVP or the Super Bowl.

I can’t help but feel the Hurts hate has a racial component to it because it’s illogical. He didn’t bench Wentz? Wentz sucks and benched himself?

I expect a 3 team trade.  

Chicago gets Wentz and a 5th from Indy,and in exchange Indy gets Foles and Phillys 3rd rd pk, Eagles get Chicago 1st,3rd and Rock Ya-Sin from Indy.

Yeah I mean I'm surprised by what we are hearing. Of course it's just rumour but still.

I didn't like the Hurts draft  pick because it was so beyond a stupid waste of a 2nd round pick with them just signing Wentz to a long term deal and knowing that Wentz likely wouldn't react good to it.  But by mid-way through the season Wentz was playing so awful that I wanted him benched and Hurts to come in.  Then Hurts came in and he produced some excitement and made Eagles games actually enjoyable to watch again.

So I like Hurts.  I wouldn't have an issue if they went into next season with Hurts as QB.  I thought if they kept Wentz that they would absolutely need to have an open QB competition at the least.   That said though I do have major concerns about the ceiling of Hurts long term.  He doesn't have as strong of an arm as I would like in a young QB to develop to hopefully become the franchise and his instinct to pull down and run for some yards seems to intertwined into his brain and I don't think that is viable long term just due to the wear and tear on someone's body.  

So I would be open for drafting a QB at 6 if one of the top 3 guys fall.  But I am also okay with going with Hurts as QB next season although I have my concerns.  None of it having to do with race though.

I think the Hurts hate is the small sample with a team that was quitting. He may be great. dude played 4 games and had flashes. but no one knows yet
