Carson Wentz discussion: no new topics about Wentz.

What does his NTC have to do with Schefter reporting he wants out like he reported Wentz wants out? You guys want to dance around it, but you were wrong. Wentz doesn’t want to be an Eagle. He let the information out and he did nothing to put it away. I’ll be glad when he’s gone, and all the tiring excuses from his groupies go with him.

Schefter isn’t reporting speculation about Deshaun Watson, Deshaun Watson has gone to the Texans and given them a list of teams he would waive his no trade clause to go to. There is no doubt, speculation or any ambiguity about the situation in Houston.

Deshaun Watson officially wants out of Houston.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Texans QB requested a trade, per a source informed of the situation.

Watson wanting out of Houston has been known for weeks, but all rumors could be dismissed until a formal request was made known. Now, the star signal-caller has gone public that he has no interest in continuing to play for an organization with which he signed a four-year, $156 million contract extension in September.

I love your post and the part about a "source.” You guys go on and on about how you don’t believe the media that cites sources when it is about Wentz, but believe them about Watson. Even if it’s the same people telling you about both of them. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Show me something where he officially says he wants out in his own words, and I’ll believe that Carson didn’t want out when he said nothing.

If you can't understand the difference between "officially" and "reportedly," you may officially be an idiot. But I may decide later to delete this post. So you might not ever know you are (an idiot). So there may not be proof that you ever found out. But we all know. You can report this post, though.

Why do the Eagles need him to do it? You keep avoiding the question. It is not going to do anything to facilitate a trade.  At this point I really think you are trolling, because you cannot answer a simple question.

He really is dense, he doesn’t understand the fact that Deshaun Watson gave the Texans a list of teams he would waive his no trade clause to go to.

Yeah...read enough...you are pathetic and have been since the old board.

You try to throw around weight like anyone should give a damn what you think.

Your act is tired. Log off for once and do something else with your life.

I’m dense, but y’all can’t even admit to yourselves Carson doesn’t want to be an Eagle. 😂🤣😂

The fact is I am 100% correct, and the dude cannot answer simple questions to try to make a point because he has no point because he is wrong

We are having a discussion about the salary cap implications of a potential trade. You keep saying he’s going to give them money so they will trade him, when he has no reason to do that, and you can’t give me one reason why he would have to do it to facilitate a trade.

No actually it’s all about Carson not wanting to be an Eagle. Same reason why you made that dumb thread about him speaking or not. Accept the truth. He’s gone, because he wants to be gone.

I actually think it's pretty obvious. He just handled himself with more class than Watson, who was upset because he wasn't included in hiring the GM (of all things). I'm not the one crying because Wentz didn't talk. I think he did the right thing. I do think he would have returned if not traded, but preferred to start fresh elsewhere.

This organization is a mess. I am so pissed at how many problems Howie Roseman causes. You suck Jeff Lurie for loving him so much!

You keep trying to bring other discussions into current discussions.

We are currently discussing cap ramifications of a potential trade.

My poll had nothing to do with if he would be traded, It was whether he owed anybody a public statement about his intentions.

You keep trying to cloud the issue with reports of speculation of what he wants. That is not what we are discussing right now.

So I will ask one last time, if Carson Wentz did not pay back signing bonus money to the Eagles, how would that stop another team for trading for him?

I’m not going to get into class here. I don’t know how much disrespect the Texans put towards him over what the Eagles did to Wentz. I’ll state I don’t either of them on my team. Oh and now after the fact you can act like it was "obvious,” but most of you acted like it was irrelevant, and you were wrong.

What did Carson need to make a public statement about?

People in the blog were complaining regardless of his intentions, that he owed everybody some thing in the form of a public statement. That poll was just to prove that the majority of people didn’t feel like Carson had to say anything regardless of his intentions.

Now let’s get back to the discussion of the evening. Why would Carson Wentz have to pay back his signing bonus money to the Eagles to make a trade work, it has no impact on the team trading for him, and it would have no impact on the compensation that the Eagles receive.

What are these "intentions” you are writing about?

Well he can only have two, to stay with the Eagles or to not stay with the Eagles. I’m not trying to argue which one he wants right now. What we were discussing and the point of the poll is whether or not he owed the public a statement about his intentions.

So when rumors about Carson saying he wanted out of Philly came up you don’t think he should have addressed it... Why? Did you really believe he wanted to stay? From my understanding you all tried to play it off like it was fake news and lies yet here we stand and Wentz is about to be traded before Watson.

It is just impossible for you to stay with one topic without clouding other things into it. I’ll pick this up in the morning I’ve had enough of your idiocy for tonight.

You still can’t even answer the question from two hours ago why Carson would have to pay back any money to the Eagles.

As I have stated in the past, If Wentz was benched, he would have come back in to start at a later date (usually the next game or the game after that). He wasn't "benched," he was replaced. As the team leader, the team dynamic changes once that happens. The writing at that point is on the wall.

We all know there was a separation of trust between the player and team. We all know the way to move forward is to part. We all can figure out how Wentz would be feeling. We heard the presser from Lurie about his "vision" --- specifically that the team was looking to rebuild and it was clear Wentz was likely to be moved instead of kept. So Wentz kept his mouth shut. I do think he wants out, but I don't think he ever wanted to get to that point. He was happy here until early December. Then everything came crashing down. I'm sure he's dealing with a lot of mixed emotions. That's why it was critical for him to keep his thoughts out of the public limelight. There was absolutely nothing he could have said that wouldn't have been twisted by the Philly media. By remaining quiet, he didn't tank his trade value like disgruntled players often do. In the end, that will help us get what we get from him.

No I’m still on the same topic. You want it to be something else, cause you don’t want to admit you’re wrong. I understand, but the bottom line is your deity is leaving, because he wants leave. Have a goodnight.

I feel Wentz had issues once the Eagles drafted Hurts and he was never able to overcome that. I certainly didn’t expect Wentz to go out and demand a trade, but him diffusing that situation doesn’t hurt his trade value at all. His play is what matters most. The Eagles draft Hurts, Wentz responds poorly on the field from it, and gives everyone the silent treatment on the way out. That seems like a guy with some fragile mental issues.  For the record not everyone saw this thing that way. Some simply blamed others for the issues like Doug and everyone else but Wentz, therefore assuming once all that changed he will be fine. They didn’t want to believe that Wentz would want out. Either way again I’m glad it’s almost over and we can turn the page.

Exactly damned if you do damned if you don't....

At the end of the day, I'm not so sure the Wentz that was drafted in 2016 is the same Wentz today.  The younger guy seemed more humble.  Then he traded in the hometown girlfriend for the hotter wife, got that fat contract despite his 2017 injury.  And you would think that contract got to his head some how.  It's such a serious challenge to keep your humility through all of that and not have it go to your head - especially when your organization elevates you.

Saw a similar pattern with McNabb.  Maybe the team regretted not moving on from him after the T.O. incident.

The only two teams who are showing any real interest are both that have some knowledge of 2017. I think they all believe they can make that guy come back. I’m sure people will find out soon enough. There is no doubt Wentz has talent, but there is no way that comes back here. He needs to be gone, and the Eagles need to move on.

I completely agree and I've taken that stance here since he got benched.

Sounds similar to what a certain person said to a certain reporter about 2 years ago.
