Lol Wentz is so fragile that rumors say he doesn’t want Nick Foles peaking over his shoulder in Chicago. This is sad, if true.

Wentz is extremely fragile and unlikeable in rumors.

It's actually pretty funny watching fans acting like jilted ex-lovers trying to tear down the player that they feel let them down ... via rumors.

There are several things at play here, but they seem glaringly obvious to me. First, he's clearly been coddled by the organization. He's been anointed the starter from day one, and despite Foles' s

We need to fleece pace and the bears. Well we are desperate but so is he and Nagy. Plus they have lazor and flip so they believe they can turn him around. This is their last chance and if they fail, they won’t be here for the aftermath anyway. I believe they go all in for wentz rather than risk say a rookie or a journeyman. If the package though is something like eskin is bsing Cohen, foles and 1st for our second, that would be horrendous. Am expecting Howie to get a ransom as we r taking a superlative dead money hit. Not that bears or colts care but they are desperate too. No picks should be going back lol well but maybe beggars cannot be choosers. Let’s get the best for the eagles and am sure that’s not wentz for sure

I think Indy is better for him, I'm sure Chicagoans are every bit as mean as Philadelphians.......it's a city thing.

I agree. He needs a small market team and Chicago is a bigger market than Philly.

Great points.  What a failure by Howie and the organization.  This is 2 minutes worth watching.

If they do get Foles in a trade what a weird journey.

Eagles drafted him, traded him away, then signed him as a free agent, then released him, then trade to acquire him again.

Seems like it's inevitable.

Quick, someone Photoshop Foles onto Thanos' body with Eagles armor 😂

Hurts is promising, but what hurts is seeing an organization I'm a fan of destroy something great- long term relationship with an MVP caliber QB. Especially after the emotional investment of getting him.

The issue is Wentz saw through Pederson and Howie. He's smart enough to.

We'll see if we can still have nice things.

if this doesn't scream howie has been a clown...  i dunno what will.  the one thing that howie was praised for was his management of the cap...  but i think we can all question that due to recent events and contracts given out.

not to mention the rumored draft picks he was a part of, and i would agree the stink in the org goes deeper than doug and wentz.

if lurie wants to fix things, ish can howie..  then take a long hard look in the mirror.  maybe he too will see the white face paint and red nose he's been rocking the past couple of years.

You completely missed the point man.

In my scenario the Eagles are TRADING HIM REGARDLESS and taking the 34 hit if he says he wont pay back any bonus.

If he does agree to pay back some bonus then the Eagles will let him pick his team based on the offers they get.

I was just giving you a reason Carson would agree to pay money back.

You missed the point.  There is no scenario where he agrees to pay back money.  Ridiculous premise.

Maybe Wentz knew he was done in Philly the moment they drafted Hurts and simply said "F it" and didn't care.

Doubtful, but this entire saga has been beyond strange.

i believe the drafting of hurts was just a wtf moment for wentz.  like i can't see wentz being anything other than professional.  heck even during this whole saga, he's been off of social media..  not being a t.o. or antonio brown blasting their team.  everything has been behind closed doors and only thing we've gotten from talking heads are speculative.

if there was an "F it" moment for wentz, it probably was the benching.  a benching like that hasn't happened every in his nfl career, so yeah...  everything was fractured.  couple that with who he was benched for tied into the wtf moment and actually performing well enough..  and wentz knew he couldn't stay here.

wentz isn't blameless, his play resulted in him being benched...  but you could also say that doug never helped him either with the play design.  it was an ish show of a season which lead us to where we are.

I don’t think it will happen either. He asked for a possible reason. I wasn’t in the discussion before that. His answer had nothing to do with what I said either.

People keep saying not gonna happen and words like ridiculous premises. We are in uncharted waters right now. This is a very rare and unique situation. It doesn’t make sense to make definite statements.

I just don't need to assassinate someone's character in order for me to move on. I recognize he'll no longer be an Eagle and I'll be "all in" supporting Hurts and defending him from the upcoming barrage of "factual-conjecture" and "contextual-manipulation" he's guaranteed to be a target of for the next few years.

On hearing the rumors Cohen was involved in a deal sending Wentz to Chicago:

Quote

Cohen took to Twitter in an effort to debunk his role in a potential trade: "Lemme clear this up real quick. Just got off the phone wit my HC and GM, Bears fans we locked in don’t worry. People say anything nowadays man.”

Can be found toward the end in the below link:

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/07/could-nick-foles-be-heading-back-to-philadelphia-again/

So either the HC and GM are blatantly lying to him or the "rumors" are inaccurate.  I'll go with the latter.

To be honest, I hope the rumors are inaccurate - I would rather another draft pick than Cohen.

He's definitely not soft physically.  I'll give him credit that he puts his body out there and plays hard.

His biggest issue is mentally.  He cant take the criticism from fans and media.  When he throws a pick or fumbles 2 times a game he wants the fans to say "its OK Carson, we still love you".  Not gonna happen with this fan base.

I can't wait to be rid of this guy. Wentz is  f****n' putz.

Who does everyone have him going to if anyone at all?

If a deal is done with the Eagles, it is typically an unexpected deal. For that reason I predict it will be a deal with the Raiders.

Already saw a few people say raiders so guess it can’t be them since it’s not unexpected.

Well wherever Carson goes I’m sure of one thing, Howie will blow the compensation and the Eagles will eat 34 million in cap space. Seriously, how the F does that weasel have a F-ing job?
