Eags are gonna trade Wentz tmrw after watching mahomes look like mike McMahon with no blocking.

And it's going to be a mistake that almost rivals letting Reggie White walk.

So did Wentz have a problem with Hurts being drafted in the 2nd? Rumors said he did. Are those incorrect also?

rumors of Wentz getting shopped must be untrue also. Rumors of Jim Schwartz retiring a feed before he did was untrue as well. Rumors are all false

How would I know if Wentz had a problem with drafting Hurts? He never stated that he did. His actions never displayed a "problem." Even after Wentz was replaced, he tried to help Hurts. So ... if I had to guess, I'd say those rumors are exactly that --- rumors ... with no iota of proof.

As for Wentz being shopped, that's not a rumor. The Eagles haven't come out with a statement stating that, but other teams have verified that the Eagles are listening to offers. The offer we hear with the Bears involving Cohen is a rumor, but only in that the original source disclosed an offensive player and Cohen was tabbed as that player based on "evidence" that has since been debunked.

Anyway, I think you missed my point. There are a lot of rumors about Wentz that have zero evidence that fans and media have been taking as gospel and running with. Most of them seem to contradict what his teammates have said about him. So ... yeah ... in rumors, Wentz is an evil, awful person. If you want to believe that, nothing I say will stop you.

Just saying it's going to be a mistake getting rid of Carson, just like it was a huge mistake not keeping Reggie. Now of course all the smooth brain people around here will assume I'm saying Wentz is or will be as good as Reggie White.

I expect Wentz to rebound easily from 2020. I think he'll be a much better QB in a few years than anything we've seen from him so far (including 2017). The problem is people (fans) don't have the patience to wait for normal QBs to fully develop and mature. If any regression seems to happen, it's time to panic and move on. That's why we often see guys do better on their second team (Alex Smith, Tannehill, Brees...).

It may very well turn out to be a mistake to move on. Only time will tell. Then again, if we use the opportunity to make this a better overall team, it could prove to be the right move. Again, only time will tell.

Maybe if this game were against the Bengals I’d see your point, but not against the current SB champions and especially while AR and Reid are dealing with his son and all that mess.

Are AR and Reid two different people ??

We were handcuffing White, Wentz is handcuffing us. Right now he is worth something while healthy. Take what you can get while he is worth something to another team. He is done here.

Considering he was one of, if not the worst QB in the league, that's easy to assume.

Did Braman even offer White a contract?  Then he sold the team to Lurie  two years later and immediately removed #92 from the locker room so no one else could wear it.

First people compare Wentz to Deshaun Watson, now Patrick Mahomes. Who’s next, Brady? 🤦‍♂️

Funny, some had the same to say about you.

Really? That's interesting, I don't recall. Could you quote them?

Never offered White a contract. Didn’t franchise him either, but back then teams were less likely to, but he had no desire to actually pay any player what they were worth. He was a horrible owner.

Both of them have more playoff wins than the gingerbread man.

It’s just sad you don’t realize what the Eagles want is irrelevant. Wentz wants out unlike Reggie White. Your point is meaningless.

Watson?  Crazy!.., one less year but his average QBR has gotta be 10 points higher and he gets sacked as much as Wentz if not more.

You didn’t know? According to the Wentz cult he’s the greatest all time.

Maybe we should give him 200 million more to stick around for another 5 years.

And get rid of all the back-ups so he doesn't feel uncomfortable and fall apart.

No worries. Carson’s a HOF player once you get him a HOF coach, HOF line, HOF receivers, a HOF back, and a full HOF defense.

Only thing I'll say about a Wentz trade is if they do trade him and eat that cap hit, it means that they're tearing it down and taking a down year to clear up the cap mess, (because if we were struggling to meet the cap before, eating $34million in dead cap makes it pretty much impossible with anything like the current roster) so it either calls into question the rationale for firing Doug or it becomes absolutely inexplicable and frankly inexcusable that Howie is still in a job, because he re upped Carson early, he picked Doug for HC and he created the cap hell and he's the only one who hasn't been held to account for any of it.

Howie is rebuilding his own mess.  That just sounds ridiculous.

No. Several years back, the NFLN did A Football Life about both Reggie and Jerome Brown together. Sara White made an appearance on that episode confirming that if Brahman had offered him anything, that he would have stayed.

If they do get Foles in a trade what a weird journey.

Eagles drafted him, traded him away, then signed him as a free agent, then released him, then trade to acquire him again.

🤨 Wonder if there is any other player that has been drafted, traded away, traded for, cut and signed as a free agent all by the same team!
