Anything more about the Panthers and the 8th pick?

Latest rumor:

Eagles give up Wentz and a 2021 2nd rd pick to the Bears.

Bears give up 2021 1st rounder, 2022 2nd rounder, Foles and Roquan Smith.

Is that real? Better do that asap

I’d give him more than 4 games into his rookie season to make a full evaluation of that.

Nah homey.  He needs to be awesome right now!  Immediately!!

I haven't watched enough Bears' games to have an informed opinion, but I thought Smith was a cornerstone for their defense? Shocked they would give him up.

Don't love giving up the 2021 2nd. Basically we move up 17 slots, get a 2022 2nd, Smith and Foles. Still, we have limited leverage. I'd do it and rip off the band aid.

Why I find that rumor crazy. Smith is a legit LB in this league and could be our Devin White. Smith ran a 4.51 in the combine.

one of the things i heard last night was that the chiefs moved their left tackle to right tackle, had another backup play left tackle, and had wiz starting for the first time.  you basically made two tackle spots worse by moving the left tackle.

of all the bad things the eagles did...  one of the smart things i've heard was "why make two tackles worse by moving your tackle from one spot to the other?".  it was said when peters got injured and people called for lane to move to left tackle.  lane has the size and skill to play left tackle, but is our primary right tackle.  having him move to left tackle would have probably been more of a disaster.

i don't know the chiefs' offensive line depth, but whenever you start playing musical chairs with linemen is when you get into a lot of trouble.  if a guy has been playing one position for you on that line, keep him there and hope the backup for another spot can do their job.

I'd drive him there myself

Actually it is about his play on the field.

It's about holding on to the ball too long when you know your line sucks.

It's about throwing into double coverage with underneath routes open.

It's about taking sacks instead of stepping up in the pocket.

All teams manage to keep under the cap. What has Roseman actually achieved since the SB?

Put together a good coaching staff? Nope.

Signed players to good contracts? I.e. Alshon. Nope.

Signed good FAs? Meh, at best.

Maintain healthy cap space? No way hosay!

Drafted well? Oh hell no...

Bieniemy also called the offensive plays last night and read he only did that in week 5. They didn't adapt or change schemes once even though the LT and RT were turnstiles

So everything Mahomme's did last night, got it.

Are there rumors that Mahomme wants to be traded today?

If you can’t see the difference then I don’t know what to tell you. Mahomes has been a perennial MVP candidate since his first year, has been to the super bowl twice, won it once. He gets the benefit of the doubt because he’s PROVEN it. Wentz has been inconsistent throughout his career, and has never won a playoff game.

Im not going to go through the entire game log of his career and injury reports, but I’m willing to bet that this isn’t the first time Mahomes was missing starters on the offensive line.

It's a joke.   Bobby was far more fun.

His decision making was so dramatically worse last year I seriously wonder if that big league concussion from the Wild Card game had a permanent effect.  I do remember articles saying he has mutliple weeks of symptoms.

he took even more hits throughout last season as well. he's gotta be in a bad place, neurologically.

Precisely. We all know he's talented, and injury concerns notwithstanding, I think many of us would be fine riding it out a little longer with Wentz to try to make the investment work, but the guy just has a ****ty attitude and his relationship with the organization seems damaged beyond repair. You can't work with that.

It's interesting that most people think Howie is a huge POS and Jeff Lurie is an enabler and meddles in the process, but it's all on Carson to get along with the organization.  The dynamics on this board are very unique sometimes.   Using this board, they all have issues.  If he goes, he goes, but the other problems still persist.

I mean, pretty much. He agreed to a massive contract with that organization less than two years ago. I think they're definitely part of the problem, but those guys are his bosses. And it really makes zero sense for Wentz to be pissed at Lurie & Co., because they backed him and gave him the extension well before it was justified, and he was given more time than pretty much anyone else would've been given to work out of his funk before he was finally benched. They put a single player above the overall wellbeing of the team and organization, and now that player feels slighted? GTFO.

I was thinking the same thing about RTK, whose avatar and name have been reincarnated here.

Anyone who compares Wentz to Mahomes doesn't know anything about football. Sorry.

Sounds like a classic Andy- run offense.
