I'm only half-serious. I'm tired of Howie and really want him gone, and I don't think it would be a good situation with the QB actively trying to undermine the GM, but if given a choice, I'd definitely take Wentz over Roseman.

Given a choice I would bring McNabb back out of retirement over Howie

So you would take to social media to clear your name instead of talking to your boss 1 on 1?

You're weird

Exactly, the Eagles know what's going on with Carson. The big baby fans and poo slinging media do not.

Wentz has the talent to be league MVP. It's mental with him. Can that be fixed? Not sure. Maybe it will take a change of scenery, but I would have liked to have seen him with a new coaching staff for a year. Won't happen at this point. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt them.

Rookie year he was obviously good. He worked with a QB guru in the offseason and his second year he was almost league MVP. Then the OC leaves and he immediately starts to regress. Is that all on Doug? No, but it's a shame they didn't put better coaches around him. That's on Doug.

We'll see what happens. He's gone at this point because of Howie's ego, so it doesn't really matter at this point.

It’s more than mental. His mechanics are terrible. Doug knows how to coach QBs. I’m sure he’s tried to fix his mechanics. Wentz int listening.

You mean the guys trying to trade him? Yeah I’m sure they do.

He had one outstanding year in 2017, the other 4 he was a solid starter who avoided picks by playing percentage ball over the middle and beat up on an awful division to pad his W-L record. It's easier to make a convincing argument 2017 was a flash in the pan at this point.

I've said it before but I'll repeat it again, literally nobody ever claims the Foles two thirds of a season as starter in 2012 are his true talent measure, but the numbers in those 10 starts extrapolated for a season have Wentz' 2017 (also extrapolated) beaten hollow.  Wentz is a solid but unspectacular starter who has never really got near his 2017 level since and had a historic regression last year, his development by year 5 should've been such that an off year for the O-Line was compensated by his speed of thought born of experience, instead it was the opposite, he made the O Line look worse, mechanically he's horrible, his decision making is still mid round rookie level and the one thing that set him apart in 2017 his pocket awareness has left town.

Maybe he picks it up elsewhere, but I'd guess best case is he turns into Jay Cutler, he has the odd spectacular throw in him, can put up occasionally gaudy numbers but he's not great in the locker room and if you're looking for someone to put the team on his back you have the wrong guy.

Report: Eagles don’t feel they’ve received a fair offer for Carson Wentz

Sounds like they are searching high and low for ways to screw this up.  Starting to get that feeling that Howie has overplayed his hand with his few media friends and now the league is calling his bluff.  There are other less expensive QB options out there for teams to try and redeem that don't have the baggage and have shown more than Carson has over the last 2 seasons.

If that Bears deal for a 1st rounder and 2 players was real and Howie turned it down, he's a bigger idiot than I thought.

Part of that deal was the Eagles send their 2nd round pick.

If you break that down into two trades

Carson Wentz for pick 20.

Pick 38 for Foles and Tarik Cohen ( coming off a ACL tear )

Wetnz for 20 is totally worth it. Also Foles > Wentz or Hurts

So you trade a pick that could be on the team for 10+ years ( probably not with Howie making the pick ) for an over 30 QB and an undersized RB coming off a major injury.  Doesn’t seem like a good move in a rebuild.

See the bolded part. Foles and Cohen are better than someone like JJ Artega Whiteside who Howie would waste a 2nd round pick on. Our draft picks are almost worthless with Howie making them.

Let them keep their players and we keep our #2.

They need to move Foles' salary if they take on Carson, plus you know...Carson would probably cry about Nick being there.

If they're throwing Foles into the deal just to move him then fine but I'd much sooner have another pick than Cohen.

I'd take Roquan over a pick.

So many trade reports now.  What to believe?  Hopefully if he truly is acting the way that he is then they trade him, get a nice return, and move on.

Sure, I would too.  But no interest here in Cohen.

I believe the Bears were only offering to move up from our 2nd rd pick to #20 and also wanted us to take on Cohen's contract and busted ankle.  Honestly that's the kind of offer I would be expecting teams to make for "Ginger Jesus".

The rumor was:

Bears 2021 1st rounder

Bears 2022 2nd rounder

Nick Foles

Tarik Cohen

for

Carson

Eagles 2021 2nd rounder

So essentially this year we move from 37 to 20, get an extra 2nd next year, Foles and Cohen.  If you change Cohen to Roquan Smith, I do that immediately.

Right, we have enough smallish backs.

They have gone down hill, but they got better after his rookie year and then tanked right after the OC left. Why can one guy get through to him and Doug couldn't? He just grew lazy after that year? Possible. Sometimes a situation becomes toxic and the fact the coach isn't there anymore proves issues went beyond Wentz. I think if he lands with the Colts he will become pretty good after a fresh start. We'll see. Don't get me wrong he is to blame for this, but the upward spike and then downward crash tells me something else happened as well.

Disagree. He was good his rookie year. He was amazing his second, so again the trend was going up. If it was just him that went down, sure, but the team as a whole regressed to the point Doug isn't there. Draft picks have sucked and the FO seems toxic because of Howie. Two years ago if he didn't get hurt he probably gets them past Seattle in the first round almost by himself because of what he had at WR.

When a player goes up and then crashes down around the same time coaches exit and the team starts to dip across the board it tells me there are a few other variables involved. Yes, he is still to blame, but Doug is gone for a reason as well. Something is toxic there and the issues go beyond Wentz. He's going to get traded, so we'll see soon, but my guess is someone coaches him and puts him in a better position to succeed and he will look more like that 2017 guy again.
