The rumor was:

Bears 2021 1st rounder

Bears 2022 2nd rounder

Nick Foles

Tarik Cohen

for

Carson

Eagles 2021 2nd rounder

So essentially this year we move from 37 to 20, get an extra 2nd next year, Foles and Cohen.  If you change Cohen to Roquan Smith, I do that immediately.

That's actually close to the 2nd and 3rd value the Lions got.  Their 2-1st's are devalued for being in later years.  That's as good a value as you could hope for, maybe just waiting to see if the colts come in at last moment with better offer.

Wetnz for 20 is totally worth it. Also Foles > Wentz or Hurts

Foles is my all time favorite qb. But im not sure about that. Hes so streaky its crazy. Hes definitely more of a leader than wentz ever was.

He had a rough year in Chicago but his QB rating was still higher than Hurts or Wentz. Hurts is supposed to be a hard worker, hopefully he improves.

I'll say this now, I firmly believe it. Wentz will still be an Eagle at the start of next year. He's not going anywhere.

LOL. Not happening. People in the media with actual sources have pretty much guaranteed he’ll be gone. Howie’s trying not to look like he’s desperate to get rid of him

I won't go as far as firmly believe, but I do think it's still very much in the realm of possibilities and will still be shocked if they trade him as I have been saying,

As you know I've never been on board with trading him, but even I wouldn't go that far. I could see Lowie setting a price so high that is borderline unrealistic so when their aren't any takers they could go back to Carson and say well we tried.

And at this point, even if you wanted to keep him, there would be nothing else to call it but another major Howie F' up.

I knew the trade talk was BS about a month and a half ago, but then something within the Eagles org changed....  they decided they will move on from Wentz instead of trying to fix him, that everything is going to be new or whatever, moving forward. I believe the reports now that he will be traded fairly soon... as soon as the Eagles believe they got back a decent value for him. I have no idea what they deem a decent value. We'll see. Bottom line, I now believe they are trading Wentz. It's too late to keep him after all this mess. You want a player on your team that despises your GM and isn't motivated to play for your team? Nope.

I don't think he's going anywhere either but you already knew that.

The Birds need to keep all their draft picks, not trade them away to get a first and get rid of Wentz.

They need to move Foles' salary if they take on Carson, plus you know...Carson would probably cry about Nick being there.

Another day of pure speculation to follow, I’m getting my popcorn ready, lol.

I just read an article on NJ.com saying that now Wentz is not going to be traded quickly and it is still possible that Carson returns to the Eagles if they don’t get their asking price. You got to love these reporters that throw anything out there hoping their the first one’s to have the scoop.

My popcorn machine blew up while trying to follow the Wentz feeds.

I wonder if people are still going to deny that Wentz wants out, after he’s traded?

Oooooo, oooooo, pick me, pick me- I'll do it!!!

Lol they said Wentz would be traded soon after the super bowl... A day and 1/2 after the super bowl and some are starting to panic that he isn't being traded lmao. Some of you eat up every little bit of gossip the media gives you.

Exactly, the Eagles know what's going on with Carson. The big baby fans and poo slinging media do not.

Actually, the Eagles don't know, either. Ergo a trade.

It's not just BS sources. Guys like Schefter don't tend to get things like this wrong.

This could just be Wentz and the FO testing the trade waters for reasons only they know for sure. Here's a scenario...

Wentz requested a trade and Howie agrees to trade him if they can get a deal they can both live with. Trade offers come in and Wentz decides he's better off here for another year. He comes back and has a good season. I would hardly call that a F' up.

I just don't see Wentz being willing to go anywhere to get out of Philly. If he's rumored to be so picky about coaches, competition, etc, wouldn't he be concerned about those things in a possible trade to another team? Since neither Wentz or the FO have come out and made any statements you have to assume things remain cordial. Nobody is burning bridges that we know of. I still say this could all just be business and not personal at this point.

In short, I don't see the FO throwing Wentz out the door and I don't see Wentz leaving to go just anywhere. So that leaves an option where he stays. Nothing is off of the table until we hear something concrete from at least one of the parties.

I know a trade will happen, but it wouldn't shock me at all if it wasn't with the Bears.
