UK he is gone, not even allowed in Zoom meetings. Bears made the best offer, Howie wants 2 # 1's , that won't happen.

I just think Howie is playing a game here. A very stupid game if you ask me. Not because I'm saying Carson should absolutely be traded but because I don't think he wants to be here. And should the organisation keep a player who doesn't want to remain? I think Howie will hold out for a huge offer and he won't get it.

1.  Owner made it clear he views Wentz as fixable.

2.  Owner made it clear to coaching candidates that fixing Wentz is a priority.

3.  Hired a candidate that is closely tied to the one coach Wentz apparently respected.

4.  Howie won’t be forced to take any trade that doesn’t meet the asking price.  
5.  Trading Wentz will create the largest dead cap figure in NFL history.  To quote Ricky Watters: "For who? For what”?

Howie isn’t the owner.  Lurie is the owner.  If there isn’t a blockbuster deal that wows Lurie, don’t bet on him accepting anything less since it’s the 34 million dollar egg on his face

Absolutely. To me they needed to strike fast and early. 

The longer this goes on the more we hear that Carson wants out and that just decreases his value.

I wouldn't be surprised if (and let's just say the Bears offer of a first plus Foles and Cohen was a legit offer) that's now come down. The Eagles don't hold leverage. Carson apparently doesn't want to come back, he's coming off of a very bad year and there are other QB options out there. If a team wants to give up a huge trade they are more likely to go and speak to Houston. Or if they want another, likely cheaper, alternative they'll go to San Fran or Vegas.

This is a mess and to be honest I am convinced Carson comes back but doesn't want to be here. Howie will F this up in the biggest way possible because he's a steaming turd of a GM.
