I don’t think you can be arguably the worst starting quarterback in the league statistically and publicly demand to be traded. The optics of that would look utterly ridiculous.

But also, the belief here has always been that the Eagles will be more than willing to trade Wentz if an acceptable offer comes along for him, but they’re not just going to give him away for nothing. The minute that Wentz demands publicly to be dealt, the lower his value becomes, and thus, the more unlikely that an offer will come along that the Eagles will find satisfactory.

So perhaps just laying low and saying nothing for now is his best chance of getting what he wants.

Some of these comments make me wonder how people handle workplace disagreements and career discussions in their own life.

Honestly, if they can't get good value in return, it's just better to keep him even if he doesn't want to stay. He has a contract and relationships can always get fixed. If he doesn't want to play, so be it, the Eagles aren't saving any money by trading him anyway.

Even putting aside my own personal feelings on Wentz, they absolutely cannot bring him back. WAY too much damage has been done on both sides. It would be the biggest circus and dysfunctional situation in the league in years if they brought him back.

I'm ready for that circus lol.

Seriously, I think it all can be fixed. They're adults, they don't have to like each other, they just have to work well together.

Most of the butthurt is with the fans and we have no idea what it would take to make it work between Wentz and the team.  Dumping Howie would be a great start and we would all appreciate that joker being gone.

They also cannot settle for compensation that they feel isn't enough.

Let's be honest man the Eagles are the definition of dysfunction as of late.

Yep...when the seasons starts they can all step up to the mic and tell us how they need to do a better job and how great the fans are.

What damage? Neither side has said anything (a main complaint about being silent).

Without saying anything, it's actually very easy to have him back because they show a united front, dismiss it all as rumors and speculation, spin spin, we're excited and looking forward to the season.

It's when you talk in public that you limit the options.

Yup.

Anyone who is upset Carson isn't talking...I challenge you to post on social media ripping your boss and organization. Or start saying it to all your co-workers.

Report back what happens.

Can you imagine working with some of these people?  They are that disgruntled turd who ****es about everything, but doesn't have the balls to stand up or quit.

Oh well, they're throwing Russel Wilson in the mix of available QBs, Wentz is going to be lucky to find someone who wants him.

Howie needs to unload the guy ASAP, if that means getting a 2nd or 3rd, take it and move on.

Seattle moves Wilson and those coffee drinker, organic sweater and beanie wearing foodies, who think avocado is a condiment would lose their minds and their sandals with solar panels would crack, like Howie would under a flood light admitting to black mailing Lurie because he had a bald hamster.
Wilson ain’t leaving Seattle, not even if the CEO of Whole Foods drove him to the airport on his 3000 watt scooter with tires made from recycled toilet paper covered in poop stains.

I have a "source" (😉) within the FO and he overheard this conversation...

Howie: So yea Jeff I could only manage to get a 2nd and 4th for Carson.

Lurie: GET OUT!!!!

(he then dials up Carson)

Carson: Hey Mr. Lurie what's up

Lurie: So it seems like we cannot get the kind of compensation we were hoping for. What can I do to convince you to continue being an Eagle?

Carson: Get a GM that can draft good players.

Lurie: Done!   (ends call) Hey Marge get me Louis Riddick's number.

Lurie: Hello Louis! How would you feel about coming to Philadelphia to be my GM and fix this dumpster fire?

Louis: If I personally get to fire Howie, absolutely!

Just cause I'm getting older doesn't mean I can't have dreams, right guys?

I’m sure about 99.9% of us on the EMB are having the same dream.

Dream Team II, huh?

Bears say they’re growing impatient in this trade as the time goes on. Do they pull the plug? Is it known what exactly they offered? Foles, Cohen? 1st rounder? LB? What do we really know what was offered for them to become pissed?

He had a rough year in Chicago but his QB rating was still higher than Hurts or Wentz. Hurts is supposed to be a hard worker, hopefully he improves.

Hell yes.  Howie should not get too greedy, just take Foles, Cohen and a 1st

Damn, that was a pretty fun read.  Somebody doesn't like rich entitled hipsters 🤣

Link from the Bears saying that?

We know nothing but a bunch of various rumors.

I don’t think Carson should come out and say he wants to leave, if he wants to leave. But if he wants to stay, he should come out and say he wants to stay. It’s clear which option he wants. And given that, it does no good for him to come out and say anything right now.

It would actually be kind of hilarious if he came out now saying he wants to be an Eagle while all these trade rumors are swirling.
