What would we give up except Wentz?

I think Mailata has a real future as a LT. The Colts LT just retired so he might have a lot of value for them.

I'm not sure why it's so difficult for you to understand a simple concept. After everything that transpired in 2020 for him to come out and say he wants to be traded, it paints him in a bad light with the decision makers around the NFL. If he came out and said the rumors were and are BS then ends up being traded, this fanbase and his next question his word at best or outright call him a liar.

Now would I have liked him to take to Twitter, or an interview/press conference, and say he's dedicated to being an Eagle and will work his butt off to be better in 21? Absolutely. The people that want him gone...I don't know why you guys care so much. Rejoice that he hasn't said anything and is about to be traded. This is what y'all want, so have a beer to celebrate that the "bad guy" is being shipped out.

Also, a lot of people aren't thinking about this: His agent definitely doesn't want him talking. This is how he helps Wentz land the best deal possible. Silence is not only golden, it's $$.

WHat ?? Colts want Jordan Mailata as part of the Wentz deal ????????? HELLL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I’d negotiate a deal that included Dillard, would prefer to hang on to Mailata.

Wentz and Dillard for pick 21 and a conditional 2022.  I really don’t think we can expect to get a deal any better than that considering Wentz’s contract.

Nothing like Stoutland spending 3 years turning Jordan into a legit LT to trade him off. Would be a Howie move

Would you accept the 2nd or 3rd round pick only if that's all you can get?

I sure as hell would, this needs to be over.

Of course you would! And I expect nothing else from you Roseman haters.

Few weeks ago i had to listen to dopes like Nick saying that you would need to add a pick to get rid of Wentz. He now is at a first round pick...

I am glad we have a competent GM to make this trade for us, and not the impatient clowns in this forum, who would've and still would ship Wentz out for basically nothing. Sounds to me like we are going to get some serious compensation now, thank god.

I'm sorry as much as I want this whole black farce to be over, trading your starting QB is one thing, throwing in your starting Left Tackle in order to sweeten the deal enough that someone might bite is the stupidest f'ing thing I've ever heard.

What team does that?  Jesus

A team in cap purgatory with a disgruntled qb with a massive salary and cap hit?

If you don't get what you think is serious compensation, would you accept a 2nd or 3rd for Wentz?

Well, we have 2 QBs and two LTs.

Now I would prefer to trade Wentz and Dillard, but if you can get two firsts for Wentz and Mailata, that might be a good idea.

No.

When did we fire Howie??

I heard from an unreliable source that the 49er's came in over the top at the last moment and the front office is waiting for others to see if they want to make another offer. A friend of mine claims to know someone in the organization so take it with a grain of salt.

Hi Mrs. Roseman. How are your other kids doing?

I can't tell if people are really offering low value or if Howie blew it and he's trying to cover his incompetence in not being able to pull one off.

Yeah, it'd be ridiculous. I think that Mailata by himself should be worth at least a 2nd rounder.

Bears say they’re growing impatient in this trade as the time goes on. Do they pull the plug? Is it known what exactly they offered? Foles, Cohen? 1st rounder? LB? What do we really know what was offered for them to become pissed?

We don't even know if the bears actually said that

Mailata had a pff grade of 70.3 in his first season as a starter at age 23. Tunsil was essentially traded for two number ones, and he had a rating of 75.4 this year at age 26. So the starting price for Mailata is two number ones. and I doubt they let him go for that.

Edit, Tunsil's ratings his first two years as a starter were 64 and 60.

Wow. The lengths you will go to in order to defend the terrible way Wentz is handling this.

You think posting on twitter and airing drama and dirty laundry in public is the right way to handle this, vs being professional and keeping discussions between him, his agent and the team?

Try that with your employer.

Exactly.

Russel Wilson makes some comments about being sacked and better protection, and there is already speculation in Seattle that he wants out.

Lmao! Media caught some more fish today

If the Colts need us to include Mailata I'd hang up. Carson can be as pissed as he wants and hold out if he so chooses. It's bad enough they've gotten to the point they're going to trade Wentz, but to also add on someone that looks to be the future at LT? F that man, no way.

Honestly, adding Dillard or Mailata to a Colts trade would make some sense if it meant getting big time value. Can't justify re-signing Mailata in 2022 if Lane stays healthy and Dillard plays adequately at LT. Can't justify picking up Dillard's 5th year option if Mailata plays adequately at LT. Doesn't have Mailata's versatility. Anthony Costanzo just retired.

I'd be far more inclined to add Dillard than Mailata, by the way, provided Mailata's back is given a clean grade from the Eagles medical staff.

No O line decisions should be made with regard to Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks or Jason Kelce for building your team going forward. Kelce has flirted with retirement and all 3 are older anyway.  Brooks and Johnson both have lost significant time to injury.  They may come back healthy this year, but you don't trade away young O lineman that can start and be your future to keep guys that get injured or only have a couple years left.

They're rebuilding and getting younger.  Decisions should be based on youth and future.

All a matter of price. Picks can help you get younger and rebuild, too.
