Irvin was talking about when Wentz had good players around him in 2016 and 2017 when we still had Reich and DeFilippo on the coaching staff and did well with Dougie and Wentz in their respective positions.  When those two left it seemed the playcalling was not suited to Wentz' strengths.  Also, Irvin does have a point about playing with those he is familiar with, we are starting more new players over the course of this season than any team in football.

They gave the number of starters as a team and was in the eighties or am I sleep deprived ? If that number doesn’t raise questions again about the medical team of the eagles then something is wrong.

I hear you, it really does.  The strength and conditioning staff needs to replaced along with our GM, head coach, and coordinators.

Everyone is looking for consistency from a guy in the middle of a tornado. forget it. Stabilize what's around him for a few seasons with great talent and he'll be great too.

On NFL network. Anyone hear that? Real talk.

Care to fill us in on what he said?

Michael Irvin = coke head

He really went to bat for him while Joe Thomas sounded like he took too many hits to the head.  I guess hits to the nostrils work better.

Irvin mentioned that he's had nobody sustainable, healthy, and available for a year and a half now.  He's waking up on game days and introducing himself to guys around him and telling them he's looking forward to playing with that day.  Pocono just described it perfectly.  He's playing in a tornado and has been for some time.

One of Joe Thomas's counterpoints was that the Eagles have a really good defense.

You didn't read my pinned post.  :nonono:

At the time of posting that you're correct. Unless you meant something other than the guidelines pinned thread, which I have since read through.

Serious question, if I were to say something that isn't allowed, not the F bomb, what then. A warning?

It likely gets automatically censored anyway.

Oh ok, thank you sir

I don’t listen to Michael Irvin at all. Partly because he was a Cowboy and partly because his brain is fried and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Profanity is masked, but trying to get around that may get a warning.

Congrats man. He played one hell of a game tonight. Don't let the haters get to you. He is all heart. Laying it all on the line with little help. Gutsy game.

I would love for him to just have some time to throw.

He called Carson an elite quarterback and he also mentioned how difficult it is for Pederson to try and curve the dumb stuff (like throwing 30 yards against your body) while expecting Wentz to do what he does. Trying to find some consistency from Wentz is key. He can at times look like the best player on the field and in the same game look worse than a rookie. He needs to find that happy medium.

Carson absolutely has some things he needs to work on, but this dude never gives up and never stops fighting. Because of that as long as Doug is the HC he will never give up on him.

I think Steve Smith hit the nail on the head. Wentz needs to stop playing hero ball. That interception was absolutely horrible.

Say what you want, but in a close game late in the 4th I have confidence in Wentz to get it done. For years all we heard was how he isn't clutch.

Can't say hes not anymore.

Great ending for Wentz. I still can't get over that awful interception he threw though. He makes so many questionable plays but then has these great moments. I just wish he could find consistency, and I know the awful OL isn't helping but something just isn't there.

He basically said since the SuperBowl the Eagles have been littered with injuries and likely the most injured team and that falls on Carson - like it isn’t fair on him with a revolving door at every position week after week

Wentz is a fighter. Sometimes tries too much (INT tonight), but looking at what he has to work with I can understand why he tries to be the hero sometimes.

I hope Wentz and the eagle's Rocky this season. Nothing short of super bowl will be acceptable. If eagles fall short it's time for changes all around.

So winning a playoff game with Target cashiers along the OL and some Wawa workers at WR would be a failure?

Lol.

I believe they said we set an NFL record for 40 different starters on offense and I thought 20 something defensive starters (didnt say if defense was included or not).

I'm saying I don't want another season of misinterpreted success and just being a hair off. All or nothing, if not this team needs imploded.

Surely the goal for all teams is to win the SB? So winning 1 play off game and picking in the 20's and keeping this FO and some of these coaches around is detrimental to that?
