Exactly. Carson needs to be better. He needs to be better at protecting himself and making decisions on the field. It’s bad enough his line is struggling right now, so no reason to make things worse by holding the ball too long. It just leads to more cumulative hits, and for a guy who has spent time out of games in every one of his NFL seasons, the last thing he needs is unnecessary hits. He stares guys down cause he’s always looking for that big play. Sometimes you need to let the big one go and just take what the defense gives you. Yeah it’s fun to watch Carson throw a pass when he’s about to get sacked and his knees are inches from the ground, but I’ll take a nice sustained drive and a healthy Carson over all of that stuff.

He's capable of the incredible there's no doubt about that. He's capable of plays that perhaps only 1 or 2 other QBs are capable of. But let's be honest those plays are generally few and far between. Like you say I'd rather he lives to fight another day or looks after the ball better. But that's not Wentz and that's not who he's going to be.

I’m hoping he has a Big Ben type moment and eventually figures out that trying to be a tough guy quarterback will do nothing but get him injured so figuring out how to be more accurate and being a better decision maker with the ball will ultimately help him last longer in this league. Bottom line the Eagles can’t assume Carson with his play style will last during a playoff run. In fact he’s proven twice now he can’t. Carson needs to change.

You'd like to think. Thing is there is a balance to be had here. We don't want Wentz just to be a pure pocket passer. We don't want him to just get the ball out quickly. I mean sure if that works then great but you do usually need a little more from your QB. He's just got to learn and be smarter at times.

For me other than the run in 2017 against WFT I remember more Wentz throws than runs. He’s made some unbelievable throws. That part or him doesn’t need to go away, but he needs to figure out how to better protect himself and still be effective.

Oh I don't mean necessarily as a runner either bud. I mean he's able to make plays with his legs as we have seen the last few weeks. But it's more the plays he makes when things just break down around him and he's evading guys and keeping upright.

Someone in the Eagles staff needs to sit him down and help him see, BUT that really is hard to do considering his line can’t stay healthy.

And also... I don't think there's anyone on the Eagles staff who will get after him and get in to him like they need to.

Wentz playing a bad 1st half. Has Reagor, Goedert and Peters back and Fulgham and Ward are quality receivers as well.

Can't blame injuries for terrible decisions and being careless with the ball.

I don’t think it’s a talent thing with wentz. I think his decision making is just flat out terrible this year. He’s like young Michael Vick decision making level. Just compete head scratchers

He will 28 in December. Frankly he's not that young anymore and shouldn't be making these rookie like mistakes.

It's over.

I'm sorry but that play where he took the sack and fumbled it when he could have easily threw it out of bounds, was the last straw for me. His decision making is absolutely terrible. Am I suppose to be happy they won against a bad cowboys team and had a hard time putting up points against a historically bad defense?

Dude is broken

We are 3-4-1 and maybe fortunate to be that. There has been an awful lot of ugly through the 1st 8 games. This has probably been his worst 8 game stretch of his career. He needs to put this behind him and find a way to put together his best 8 game stretch to finish this regular season.

It's like he didn't the guy right in his face. At this point this stuff is happening do often I wonder if hes doing it on purpose. It's bad enough he took that unnecessary hit and sack, he fumbled too. People in the building should be very concerned over the play of their quarterback.

He actually reminds me of Brett Favre... not when Favre was good but at the end of his career when he would just throw the ball up for grabs. I think Doug should just dumb it down for him and run the plays they did in his rookie year. j

My biggest question is what is going on with him?  You can’t say look at all the INTs that is who he is because he has never been that way in his entire career so why all the INTs now?  Fumbles are one thing he has always had a fumbling problem but he has never had any INT problem before so why now?

15 points in a game against a defense that was giving up 20+ in every first half.

And that's with all of the weapons. Yeah it's time for people to realize something is wrong with the quarterback and that starts with the coach. With all of these failed first downs I have no clue as to why he keeps going for it on 4th expecting a different result.

We were just talking about this yesterday weren't we. How we wanted Wentz to take better care of the ball. Live to fight another day. And then he fumbles twice and throws 2 interceptions and overall I just thought he looked lost out there.

This is the overall issue with Carson. You either get really good or really bad. There isn’t enough happy mediums. More consistent play would end the frustrations most people have about him. I don’t need to see Carson be the "put the team on his back" guy to try and win if he doesn’t t run the offense into the ground for two quarters.

Oh good!

More fun with arbitrary endpoints.

Yeah nothing wrong with our QB who looked like butt stank against the worst defense in football. We are fine there. 🤦🏾‍♂️

What’s worse is this guy is still saying he’s not going to change. He thinks he’s doing it right. Everyone else must be the problem then. It’s Carson’s world and the Eagles just live in it. They warned us in 2018 this guy wasn’t all he was cracked up to be. Alshon and Agholor tried to warn us. We just ripped those guys and for what? This turnover machine that can’t beat good teams and thinks he’s doing things the right way?

This is hard to argue against to be honest. I mean we have heard before that Wentz thinks he's so much smarter than everyone and that he knows best. Perhaps we dismissed this because we didn't want to believe that of our QB. Sadly I think we are being shown that he is that kind of character.

Dallas defensive unit had 4 turnovers on the season heading into the game last night. Thanks to Wentz, they now have 8 on the season.  Had this been ANY other team, we would have been rolled by 20.

He should have been benched at half time.  This is on Doug.  He is letting this brat do whatever he wants without repercussion.  Wentz’ ego is hurting the team.
