I've already posted plenty of game film that shows otherwise. You're just parroting the same false critique you read from others.

Apparently the coaching staff doesn’t agree. He likely won’t even play if Jackson and Jeffery come back. Late round picks and UDFA will get snaps over him.

I just posted the first tweet i saw in the search. I think the overreaction to the "celebration" highlights how incredibly frustrated and disappointed fans are with him. That even on a good catch, he gets criticized.

On that drive the refs screwed the Eagles cause they kept the clock running when Fulgham went out of bounds, then Hightower screwed up, cause he failed to get out of bounds. At that point the pass and the catch by JJAW were meaningless.

Dude, the videos you just posted weren't even impressive. Hell, the two catches JJAW made that the guy highlighted in the Cowboys game -- he was completely blanketed. Only incredibly good ball placement got those throws through. I'm guessing you could take literally any receiver in the league and show a handful of plays where they beat coverage but weren't targeted. Your 2-minute highlight videos of JJAW getting a half-step on corners a couple of times a game does not prove what you think it does.

Just to clarify ... those aren't "highlight videos." They are compilations of his snaps played on passing downs. They show the good, not so good, and the bad. You can take away from them whatever you like. But usually, if the coverage is excellent and you come away with a reception in a tight window, it means you ran your route exactly where you were supposed to and you won the "catch." Those are good things, right?

I also want to reiterate that I have never claimed JJAW is some kind of great, underused WR or anything like that. He is not close to being a favorite player of mine. I simply am not down on him like most people around here. People say he can't run routes --- I looked at the film and that improved throughout 2019. People say he gets zero separation --- I looked at the film and that simply isn't true. People say he can't get open --- I looked at the film and found him getting open as well.

Now, it appears Fulgham may be locking down the position JJAW was drafted to fill. I have absolutely no problem with this. I don't care where or how you find a guy that performs well as a starter. My feelings aren't hurt because Howie's 2nd round pick will take a back seat to a waiver claim that ended up on our practice squad for a few weeks. I'm just glad we seem to have found someone to replace Jeffery that can do it well.  Somebody that our franchise QB likes to throw to and has come up big in return. So JJAW will have to compete to add depth at all 3 WR positions. Maybe he can eventually push Ward at slot. Maybe the team trades him (unlikely) or decides to part ways if other WRs become bigger contributors. IDK right now. I simply have an opinion that he's not as bad as people around here want to make him out to be. I get it ... we missed on DK Metcalf ...

Sure, I'll never argue with a catch. I just think it's interesting that two of this 10 catches on the year last year happened while he was completely blanketed. And again, I still don't think that being able to highlight a handful of plays where JJAW has a half-a-step on the defender at some point in the play is some sort of achievement or proof that he's getting open and just not getting targeted. We're all rooting for him to turn it around, I just don't think that's a realistic expectation at the moment. He's an athletically limited dude who has consistently been passed on the depth chart by UDFAs and practice squad castoffs from other teams. It just doesn't seem likely.

"What if they kept six up? If it came down to Hightower or JJAW, consider this: Hightower played 48 snaps on Sunday in Pittsburgh and Arcega-Whiteside played eight.“
Rueben Frank highlighted this little nugget in an article where he speculates the Eagles might dump JJAW. If they do decide to dump him it is a huge indictment on Howie and his draft selections. Of course the master dodger will somehow claim little to no responsibility over another failed draft selection.

I wouldn't be surprised if Howie did something stupid like try to waive Hightower to get him to the practice squad.  Howie is probably going to keep protecting his investment in JJAW for another year.  I hope I am wrong.

Yep, Metcalf and Raegor and this offense is completely different to what it is currently looking like.

Although I’m convinced that if they had hit on Metcalf (or had JJAW shown a thing close to being a competent player last year), they don’t go WR in the first this year. I mean this team has plenty of holes that could have used some help.

I think we may have taken a WR, maybe not taken 3 in this years draft, or traded for goodwin.  Metcalf and reagor have 2 diff elements they add for this offense.  Metcalf is a physical monster and can muscle a ball , go up n get it and has speed.   Depending on how the board fell, we may target a speed guy in 2nd round this year or who best player was in first round still available.  So I think both would exist and thrive in this offense because they complement each other.  We can dream  lol.   Maybe we can trade JJAW to NJY and douglas for a lineman/lb/wr.

Maybe he is hurt. I dont see him on the field

How soon will this bum be released? I doubt he makes it to year three. He’ll end up going somewhere next year and put up 1k yards and have a pro bowl season. That’s just the Eagles luck.

He also had a tremendous block on the insides kick.  He could have reached out and gotten the ball, but being the stellar downfield blocker he is, he wanted to make sure he made this weeks "you got jacked up”

Trade him now while he has his highest value!  :excited:

He made Metcalf look like a little baby back **** today

He was on the field for the big touchdown run. Heck maybe they should move him to TE, cash he’s already a better blocker than Ertz, and he might be as good as some of those lineman. 😂

JJAW with the Kevin Curtis Special.

Fell on a ball in the end zone - I could have that.

0 catches for 0 yards and by far his best game of the season.
