October 11Oct 11 What's the worst that can happen? They're most likely firing Nick and new HC will bring in his own OC. Let's see what Mannion can do without the idiot looking over his shoulder. Nick himself is responsible for todays loss and potentially last week when he didn't kick the fg. He coaches with emotions not brains!! He him the F out now and give Mannion a chance to try and salvage this year!!There's a reason our D is so good. Vic made it perfectly clear Nick has zero say in anything.I know it ain't happening this early, but it should.

October 11Oct 11 No. If and when Nick is pumped, go with an innovative head coach. That might mean a complete rebuild on the O side of the ball considering a new scheme (coupled with probably having to replace Vic at the end of season) but screw this abject offense football the Eagles have been playing apart from a few outlier seasons. Nothing Mannion has shown yet suggests he’s anything but an average schematic builder and play caller.
October 11Oct 11 I would not make Mannion the head coach. He’s done nothing to earn that. I would make Fangio the interim head coach and keep Mannion as the OC.

When to go for it verses kick it. When to call a time out. Things like that. I don’t know who thought it was a great idea to throw it so much after got into field goal range though. That was just as poor as kicking the ball in play with 8 seconds left.

October 11Oct 11 Mannion in no way deserves the HC role and we need him getting better at OC.I am all for replacing Siri tomorrow, just not with Mannion or Fangio.

October 12Oct 12 After the plane lands your fire the idiot in the parking lot and make Vic the interim head coach

This is still the idiot's high school offense we ran last year
October 12Oct 12 Keeping Nick the Dick in charge is punting the season. There’s no good reason to keep him. He does and offers nothing other than bad decisions. Get him the hell out of here.

Mannion has 2 years coaching experience. He's trying to swim as it is just trying to get by as an inexperienced coordinator. Making him an interim is setting him up to fail. If he were experienced, different story, but this is correct. Fangio would be interim to finish the season, and likely his career.
October 12Oct 12 the thing you guys don't see is that Jeff & Howie will want Howie's Yes man. They don't want a seasoned, experienced winning coach. A guy like Jon Harbaugh would never have been an option, because he knows more about football than Jeff & Howie do. They wouldn't want someone who is going to challenge them.
October 12Oct 12 No way. He’s done NOTHING to even deserve a HC look.I’d give the HC job to Vic, but he’s got a foot out of the door and probably wouldn’t want it.Stuck with Siri for the season, IMO. Unless things REALLY REALLY go off the rails. Then maybe make the DLine Coach the interim HC.
October 12Oct 12 Sirianni alone proved you do not need a head coach to be successful in this league, you just need an owner that allows his chefs to cook and a competent GM that can put solid/great rosters together.Ohh andF***** Sirianni....
October 12Oct 12 I respectfully and disagree with half of this. I agree with firing Siri. But Mannion can onlycall 1/4 of a 1st half of a game- and then he is out of idea's. Look at the 2nd halfstats of Eagles games this year. No, you get rid of him, too. You hire an experienced HC and OC. EXPERIENCED, not 1st timers. Clean house, start over.

Vic made it perfectly clear Nick has zero say in anything.I know it ain't happening this early, but it should.Mannion clearly wasn't ready to be an OC, why the hell would they make him a HC??The eagles don't work that way......sirianni will coach out the year and then they will determine how to move forward......if they continue to lose, expect them to make more trades before the trade deadline to load up on draft picks. With Bringing in a new head coach, they'd have to consider how Hurts fits in....the new guy will probably want to work with his own guy and now we're talking about a coaching overhaul. Maybe even Fangio says enough is enough and resigns or retires. The eagles have nice talent, but they have to be rebuilt offensively. They need offensive linemen, a tight end, RBs with Bigsby being a FA and Shipley being ineffective.....No more inexperienced coordinators......Sometimes I think with all the talent this team had over the last few years, that Sirianni got a Super Bowl with a superior talented team.....but cost them a couple more with his ridiculous offensive coordinator's and his bad decision making.
October 12Oct 12 As tempting as it may feel to want to make a change at HC mid season we have to look at 2 things:1: The likelihood of the team rallying around whoever the interim coach is and if that guy is a viable candidate to be the full time HC2: The optics of firing a head coach that took this team to 2 Super Bowls, including a win, and has made the playoffs the past 5 seasons. If the Eagles miss the playoffs this year, it would be Sirianni's first such season as Eagles HC. For reference, this ownership gave Ray Rhodes, Andy Reid and Chip Kelly two seasons of missing the playoffs before letting them go and Doug Pederson one season of missing the playoffs before letting him go.I agree with the sentiment of wanting an experienced OC and believe that Mannion was not the team's first choice for the job, but who they had to settle for once all the experienced candidates they wanted accepted other jobs. It's only going to get worse if we make a rash decision with Sirianni, so it's a tough decision for ownership to make.My guess is that Sirianni gets another year with an "experienced OC" and the front office moves Mannion to QB coach or lets him go altogether.
