Is it time for Duce Staley to be named OC?

Pederson and the offense have clearly regressed sine the departure of Reich and DeFilippo.

Duce has been patiently waiting... is it time for him to get a shot?

F no. He's part of the game planning so he's part of the problem. Plus Sanders needs more touches. Screw this RB committee

Not sure it's a RB committee at this point bud. Sanders is the unquestioned lead back.

I wonder how much of it even matters. The GM drafted all those receivers and none of them really stand out. Some are just flat out awful. The quarterback right now is struggling and is missing easy NFL throws. Maybe they run the ball more? I just wonder what more can they do.

What ? Sanders has 20 carries and 18 carries and has catches as well. When duce has had a back he believes is a 3 down back he has given them the work load. Runningbacks have been the most developed position and have performed well regardless of talent. This is most definitely not a Duce problem.

What the heck does Duce know about coaching a team?

About as much as you know about the giants being good.

I don't know who should be OC but we need 1 and badly and he should be calling the plays not Doug. This conglomeration is crap and no one is taking the reigns of this offense. They need a leader and it sure as hell isn't Doug.

What? Sanders is pretty much coming out on his own. There is no RBBC this year.

How would you know how qualified he is?

And I never said he should be head coach... I said Offensive Coordinator... that’s what the OC in the thread title stands for...

Duce has been on this staff for 10 years now. He’s waited patiently. Just because you’ve never seen him as OC doesn’t mean he can’t do it. Too many fans only know about coordinators when they’re being listed as contenders for head coach positions. Just because Duce was a was a pounding , grinding Running back when he was a player doesn’t mean he can’t help draw up good plays and call the right plays at the right time...

Hell no. His decision making is worse than Doug's.

Running well? Oh good, let's change the hot hand to the guy who's been injured for a year and a half.

Correct.

Sanders - 18 carries

Clement - 3 carries

Scott - 3 carries

If anything there is a need to balance out the run:pass ratio (2 to 1 in favor of the pass).

Don't forget "Owner."

No we’re OK there haha.  But the guy in charge of talent evaluation leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Doug continues to attempt to pass this team out of it's passing funk. All it is doing is compounding the "problems." Your QB will get hit less and take less sacks and fumble less and throw fewer INTs, etc... if he goes back to pass less. It's amazing how a legitimate running game can actually make a passing game more efficient. Teams are so geared up on defense to stop the pass these days that a team like the Ravens comes along and defense just can't stop it. It doesn't appear we are finding it difficult to run.

Couldn’t agree more.  And it wasn’t like we were trying to dig out of a huge hole most of the game that might warrant going more pass heavy.  Wentz appears to be regressing, the team as a whole seems to be regressing, and Doug’s playcalling is regressing as well.

You would THINK this would be an easy solution...to just run more, right? When your RB is running well and averaging a decent 7 point something per run..it just seems to be the logical thing to do, right? Nope....not this group

Duce would definitely make this team more of a run first offense. He deserves his chance as an OC. But it doesnt matter who is the OC or in the room for gameplanning because Dougie P calls the plays lol

Huh?  There’s no "committee”.  Sanders gets all the carries.

They abandoned the traditional OC role and brought in several guys in a confusing structure. Maybe too many cooks in the kitchen.

This season will play out and then people will be fired afterward. Then perhaps Duce gets a chance we'll see.
