No, I think what they need to do is shutdown the elaborate schemes and get Wentz back to a limited set like they did with Foles. They took a lot of the freedoms from the QB and were much better as a team. Right now even with constant revolving door at all positions, back to a scaled back playbook until we get some consistency at positions and what not.

But that in itself is just so wrong. To need to shut down anything elaborate with your fifth year franchise QB who you just paid a lot of money to... You shouldn't have to do that.

No, it has to be an outside guy, besides Duce isn't that good with the RB rotation, there were games last year early on where Howard was falling forward for 5 yards a tote and then Duce would decide to sprinkle in a whole lotta Sproles so we could prove he was done as an NFL level runner, it was annoying as all hell.

Naming Duce as OC would be nothing more than trying to give the impression the organisation was doing something about the issue while leaving it exactly as it is.

The "elaborate" stuff should be shut down because it's just not very good to start with. When you design a play where success can only happen if everybody executes perfectly, it's a bad design. Compound it with a team that is struggling in all areas and you see an instruction video on how to dig a hole.

Anyway, it's not just the QB --- it's about the QB and his receivers. Simplifying some things can help more than 1 person. When things are back on track and players are on the same page, you can start to sprinkle in some wrinkles.

I'd like to see Press get the play calling duties

Not only that but will he actually do it and adapt, or just call his own plays all the time anyway?

LOL people have lost their damn minds. Staley is in every offensive meeting and has been for the last few years they have sucked. Suddenly he is the secret weapon who will save the team as OC and coach in some posts

It isn't just about the QB no. But also what can Doug do when his QB can't hit open guys? That overthrow for Sanders last weekend... That was the game and Wentz once again overthrew it.

Who? Wentz?

Duce might just be the temp HC by week 16. If Doug is not fired, he might just have a meltdown and be in the nut house strapped to a jacket in a padded room.

OP misspelled HC.

Yes, Wentz. Is he actually doing what the coaches call or is he freelancing at the line? I think the latter.
