I’m talking about the trailer. They had stones he got at the end already as some of the first stones.

I understood, it just make me think of another point how the movie started with him already having a stone, destroying a planet of people, and wiping out the remnants of Asguard...all offscreen.

Marvel Zombies cartoon series. Meh.

It continues from the What If episode and assumes people watched that. So if you're interested, watch the What if episode first (which was better than this IMO).

It had some moments but like the recent seasons of What If, it gave audiences characters they don't care about over the popular characters. The main ones are Ms. Marvel, Shang-Chi and his friend (Kate I think?), Blade with Moon Knight powers and FBI Agent Woo. Yawn.

I saw the Jessica Jones stuff and 3 years ago, I'd have been eff yeah, this will be cool. Now, I just hope it doesn't suck, even though I kind of assume it will.

Oh Marvel, what did you do?

Talk is, the first trailer for Doomsday will land before the end of the year....

niiice

It could be shown at the latest Avatar film, whenever that comes out in December. But initial cuts are being shown in Disney already, so its not far away

Various posts from comic book movie twitter pages are saying both Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailers will be with the new Avatar movie. Others saying Super Bowl.

Interesting. I guess Avatar for Doomsday makes sense as its a purely Disney project, whereas Sony are the inception for Spiderman.

Would be better for the cinemas spreading over 2 films, etc

Thunderbolts was better than Brave New World.

Tonight , I got through 15 minutes of brave new world..... stopped it..... then tried the Thunderbolts...... got to the end of that one. But I have to say I am disgusted by the road the MCU has gone down...... I am sure if you listen carefully, I am sure you can hear Stan Lee screaming and rolling in his grave.

Please let it die...... its way too late for gracefully..... just let it die.

The new Fantastic Four was good at least. The best of all the F4 movies.

In all fairness.... at some point.... I will check it out.

Over the last few years they turned long lasting characters into idiots. Under developed others.... and generally mis managed the franchise. Still the ratio is more good films than bad..... so I will check it out.

Watched FF4 on D+ last night. Quick summary. 6/10 movie, bad CGI and some mailed in acting, but watchable and kind of fun.  It was what I assumed it was going to be.

Thoughts

The longer version is it felt like it should have been 2 films – one 90 min film introducing FF4 & Moleman (and the SS coming in at the last minute) and another introducing/defeating Galactus.  This felt rushed, with plot holes ahoy and 30 more mins won’t have materially made it better.  I can see why it hit a ceiling in the box office and get why it was 1 film because they want to move onto the full reset ASAP; more of an opportunity lost to build momentum with 2 good films.

I didn’t hate it (nothing to hate in it whatsoever) but equally, very little to make me think, that was effing good; it had moments.  Ironically, peak James Gunn filming a tight script and no ironic rock music, would have made that better to watch.  The CGI was bad in some points – Galactus looked cheap, the Thing looked cheap and some Reed’s stretching was laughable.  There was better CGI on Godzilla -1, a move with a $45m budget.

I can see why they did some reshoots on the ending – it did feel very Girl Bossy and the male inserts were laughably small compensation. I did laugh at loud at it.  Pedro Pascal is a consistently good to very good actor, didn’t feel like his heart was in that film.  He did what he needed to, but was far better as Joel in the TLOU.  Galactus felt wasted as a character.

I didn’t hate it and I don’t understand the 2/10, it’s awful reviews out there.  But I don’t understand people saying an average film as the peak MCU is back. Its a solid average film that felt a little underdone on what it could have been, and the poor/rushed CGI made it look cheap. Doesn't make me want to watch the Thunderbolts.

I just watched it and I thought was pretty good. It was fun. I don't regret buying it fur 10 bucks without watching it first

I didn't hate it and some parts were fun. Its just there was a lot of meat left on the bone and some of it felt a little rushed. I guess I'm looking at what it could have been with a bit more time.

It seems they're rushing to string together something to build up to Doomsday. They pivoted from Kang. Obtaining the rights to 20th Century Fox characters was a factor as well.

Its very understandable, I just wish a bit more time was spent as the concept is really good and the baddie was good too. I really did like the retro look and how it felt different to the norm

That's cool! I did enjoy it; far more than some other films I've seen this year
