The witch coven was just a bunch of single women, and the main parents to the twins were fighting the whole time, it's not like they were constantly making out or making comments. I was also surprised that the main Mother Anisa (spelling?) actually was letting one of the kids go. She wasn't preaching "dismantle the patriarchy!" the whole time or something. And the other twin liked the Stranger guy. One guess is they think they are trolling the "haters" by making these comments because to them it's more important to "win" the moral battle of sticking it to bigots/incels/whatever. Aubrey Plaza is usually sarcastic in interviews so I first saw her comment saying "It better be, that's what I signed up for." and thought it was just joking. It's fine to have LGBT characters in shows, but like you said just make a good show. I think they hurt themselves with the marketing more than anything. If their answer to "is this the gayest Marvel/StarWars show?" were something like "Well we have a character that is gay/lesbian and it is a diverse cast, but what we really celebrate is telling a good story with talented actors regardless of race or sexuality. We can embrace diversity while making great quality shows the fans will love."

It looks to me like one gay....influencer(?) goes around to all the Marvel premiers and asks the actors the same question, putting them on the spot, "Is this the gayest Marvel production ever?". They then just play along and answer yes. Some of these productions were made for that purpose, but most weren't and he's just making waves were there really shouldn't be any.

October 23, 2024Oct 23 This raises the question: what is the "gayest" Marvel production? I'll put out Spiderman 3

October 28, 2024Oct 28 Good. He's easily the best spiderman. In other news I rewatched Deadpool and Deadpool 2 the past few nights. The CGI in Deadpool 2 (especially the Domino parachuting to the truck scene) isn't holding up.

November 14, 2024Nov 14 I hate to say it, but I enjoyed Deadpool & Wolverine a lot more than I thought I would. Must've been in a good mood or something.
December 19, 2024Dec 19 Finally saw Deadpool and Wolverine. Meh. I'll give it a second watch, maybe I'll like it better the second time around.
December 19, 2024Dec 19 Starting with the Spiderman with Toby McGuire, how many total 'ukn Spiderman movies are there now? And which ones should I watch?

Toby had a trilogy. Andrew Garfield then had a duo-gy??? (Is there a word for two?). Tom Holland then cameo’d/revealed in Captain America: Civil War, had his 1st "Spider-Man” movie, was then featured in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, followed up by his 2nd and 3rd "Spider-Man” movies. Toby #3 is the only one from his trio that people seem to dislike (it’s maybe 50/50 split). #2 is many people’s favorite spider man film along with favorite superhero film. I like Garfield #1 more, but #2 has a bigger emotional weight. Garfield is also the best actor/performer of the three and has times where that shines through. Holland #1 and #3 are in my personal top-4, with #3 possibly being my favorite of all the films. While I have Toby3, Garfield2, and Holland2 as my weakest from each, they all have significant moments/events they still make them worth watching IMO.

Aren’t there some weird animated ones that are newer and also very popular?

Into the Spiderverse & Across the Spiderverse with Miles Morales. The animation is incredible, good story & character development. Up there with the best superhero movies.
