The thing, is with Reed Richards, this anatomically possible being stretchy.

Yeah, I got you thinking about that, and that too

Journalism today. They gotta stop letting random social media influencers looking for sound byte views on the press tour.

Gotta get those clicks and views right? The odder the question, the better.

Pedro answered that question well by not really answering it all. He may be a bit creepy with the whole touching thing, but he knows the PR gig really well.

Triple J is a really **** Australian radio station that their whole rep is supposed to be that they're not commercialised but is essentially a hipster circle jerk of fart sniffers. This is exactly the kind of dumb ass question I'd expect from them

To be fair, the comic books had various iterations and versions of the same characters, alternate universes and all that stuff. In live action, they've already done various versions of Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Hulk, X-Men had the First Class younger versions, and now the 3rd version of Fantastic Four.

The future of comic book movies/shows will likely include new characters they haven't done in live action before, more characters showing up in other characters stories or team ups, and recasting previous characters with new actors and doing some different comic book storylines.

They do need to watch out for doing too much content and let some of these products breathe.

Not in the same realm though. It was reboots

Yeah. The comic companies made various iterations and "runs" of stories with the same characters with different interpretations. And in live action movies and shows, there have already been other characters redone, rebooted. Feige says X-Men will be rebooted with a new cast. Some people are thinking they can't recast Iron Man or Captain America, but they've recast Spider-Man, Hulk and others. Even in the MCU the recast Hulk, War Machine/Rhodes.

The Batman movies with Robert Pattinson are going to remain their own thing while they may potentially have a different actor play a different version of Batman in the DCU. These are things they've done in the comics and in cartoons and now in live action.

Yea I know about the comic variations but I was strictly talking about live action

They've already essentially re-casted Captain America but it wasn't because he died and was brought back

Spiderman was reboots

X-Men will be a reboot

Hulk was essentially a reboot even though they put that Hulk movie in the MCU

Pattinson's Batman is allowed to do their own thing because The Batman and The Penguin was so successful

Saw Fantastic Four and it was a good movie but maybe I have seen so many super hero movies that they just don't hit the same anymore.

It was definitely better then Superman.

I liked Fantastic 4

Spoiler

Though Reed was the first in MCU to discover teleportation... he seemed to forget they had an energy source walking around

Speaking of Human Torch. They lowered his powers or just didn't want to display them

Same with Reed's limit on how far he can be stretched. What Galactus stretched him for was a lot lower

Galactus engine looked like a car cigarette lighter lol

Speaking of Galactus. Was listening to the radio the other day and he was selling me cheap car breakdown cover. Is there no limit to his power?

I mostly liked F4, had some heart & emotion to it. I liked the retro futuristic look. Predictable & safe, but entertaining. Vanessa Kirby gave a really good performance and she was the best part.

People have Pedro Pascal fatigue. He was ok but bland and emo the whole time. John Krasinski would have been good. Or someone else.

But overall it felt like MCU heading in the right direction rather than another flop. Setting characters in alternate Earths allows a lot of creative freedom.

I've not seen it, but that concurs with a lot of the reviews I've seen. I really hope they make 2 great films in the RDJ films and it makes the recent stuff nothing but a bad memory.

I don't have fatigue of him yet but I also like him as an actor so maybe that's why

I like Pedro Pascal as an actor - he's very good and but importantly very consistent at his job. But it does feel like that man is in everything recently.

Across 2024 and 2025, he's done this - from IMDB

would you rather have nick cage, jason statham, the rock or crispen glover*?
