The multiverse saga was the plan since Endgame. But where things stand, what is really going on? Spider-Man and Strange undid their spell and put the people back where they belong. Dr Strange fought Wanda and she's dead (I'm guessing she'll be back). I honestly don't even remember what happened to the girl in Dr Strange 2 that jumps through the multiverse, is she alive? Is she in the main universe? I don't even remember, we haven't seen her since. Deadpool and Wolverine incorporated some Loki elements but it was mostly about the void.

It feels like there's not a proper setup for Doom. Just a post-credit after F4 showing him.

They started making it up as they went along - well known that most if not all recent Marvel films/TV series are started without a final script/plan and reshoots are a given once its being edited. Shows the lack of plan and arc that was there. They cucked Thor for what reason?

My assumption is they are just hoping the audience will sigh with relief at seeing the old phases go in Doomsday, that the numerous plot holes will be forgotten and they can start again in a single universe. It presupposes that fans will actually care - not a given now.

Any word when She Hulk 2 will drop?

The actress said she won't play She-Hulk anymore, so if they plan on continuing they need a new star.

she's been joking and being sarcastic saying they wanted her in Doomsday and she turned them down, but apparently they just haven't wanted to make any more (at least with her).

@NOTW hit the nail on the head. It isn’t joined up, it isn’t connected and ultimately it’s too big to connect together. They’ve tried to introduce too many characters (many of which aren’t very good or interesting) and as a result there are too many plotholes (outside of the normal super hero movie ones).

It certainly feels like there has been less crossovers when actually they probably needed more? And as was said why do none of the heroes who are known for being in certain parts of the world not help out? Like Thunderbolts.

They’ve created this superhero world and yet none of them work together? In the first few releases after endgame there were mentions of how things have changed. How the world is different. How we now know we aren’t alone in the universe and even multiverse. And yet that’s all gone rather quiet? They could have started to build the new Avengers. They hinted at it in the last captain America movie but we are going in to the next Avengers with no team? No links and no real idea who will be in it? Thor has been where all this time?

I remember in endgame they explained Captain Marvels absence. It was a bit of an eye roller but it was one character who hadn’t featured prominently so I think we didn’t care too much? But there’s too many gaps now.

The thing is, it was intended to be joined up (but didn't come across like that to the likes of us). Feige had his whole phase 4 and phase 5 layout planned in the Multiverse saga - they bet on the Kang Dynasty, The Marvels, Dr Strange's Multiverse, and we know how that turned out. This summary has been stolen from elsewhere:

Marvel's Phase 4 and Phase 5 are parts of the "Multiverse Saga," introducing many new heroes, exploring multiversal concepts, and establishing new teams, following Avengers: Endgame, with themes of loss, legacy, and rebuilding,

Marvel Phase 4 (2021-2022)

  • Focus: Introducing new characters, exploring grief post-Endgame, and setting up the multiverse.

Marvel Phase 5 (2023-2025)

  • Focus: Deeper dives into the multiverse, establishing new Avengers, and shifting narrative gears.

The issue is and was, their plans sucked ass and the audience weren't having it - for sure COVID got in the way theatrically, but fans just walked away after stuff like the Eternals, Falcon and Winter Soldier. and She Hulk. Hence why they just paid the Russo's and RDJ boat loads of cash to come back and do a soft reboot. Its them admitting 4 and 5 were a monstrous failure and needed to be forgotten about.

The plot for Doomsday is leaking, so be careful out there. And its a bit of lol one; gonna make some people a little angry.

There are so many variations, fan-made art and trailers even, that it's hard to know to be honest.

For reference, I asked AI to summarize Dr. Doom's role from the comics leading up to Secret Wars. I didn't read these comics so I don't know the source material.

Consider that at the end of Dr Strange multiverse of madness, Strange is seen with the "evil" eyes glowing, indicating he might become the evil version we saw in other multiverse. Using him would probably be part of Doom's plan.

In the comics (Secret Wars, 2015), Doom didn’t start by inviting heroes. He started by breaking the multiverse over his knee.

Here’s the clean version of what Doom did before gathering everyone:

Doom discovered that the multiverse was dying because of incursions—universes colliding and annihilating each other. He learned the true cause was the Beyonders, godlike beings experimenting on reality itself. Instead of trying to "save everything” the heroic way, Doom did the Doom thing: he decided to steal their power.

To do that, he partnered with Doctor Strange (as his unwilling accomplice) and Molecule Man. Doom traveled across realities systematically killing alternate versions of Molecule Man, who were living multiversal bombs created by the Beyonders. This destabilized the Beyonders’ entire system.

At the end of everything—literally the last moment before total annihilation—Doom ambushed the Beyonders, stole their omnipotent power, and used it to patch together the scraps of destroyed universes into a single Frankenstein reality called Battleworld.

He crowned himself God Emperor Doom.

Only after remaking reality did Doom gather the heroes. He wasn’t asking for help. He was assigning roles. Heroes became sheriffs, barons, rebels, or myths inside a world Doom ruled absolutely. Most didn’t even remember the old multiverse.

The uncomfortable truth at the heart of Secret Wars is this:
Doom didn’t just conquer reality. He saved what little was left of it, and he did it better than anyone else could have—at the cost of freedom, truth, and humility.

That moral splinter is why Doom remains one of Marvel’s most dangerous ideas, not just its greatest villain.

It looks like on set stuff is leaking via various influenzas whose track records are very good. It would deal with something from a recent superhero movie for sure, but would break some hears

Well you can post it and spoiler tag it, or send me a pm. I don't really care about this movie lol. I'll watch it but not expecting much.

This is it. Some variations on a theme but the underlying story is consistent.

Spoilers

Film apparently opens with the X-men fighting Tobey Maguire Spiderman and Doc Oc and winning. Maybe 501% true, but could involve some Spiderman Universe

Consistent spoiler is Doom is from another universe (shock) and is trying to close off the various timeline incursions caused by the OG Avengers (Cap) staying the past (the Peggyverse) in Endgame, as quickly as he can. He was possible married to Sue Storm is his universe who may have died, hence the visit in FF and finding Franklin. Film will be a bloodbath and a little sad in tone, but a post credit scene will move it to a more positive. Wanda is possibly coming back after being resurrected by Doom and Franklin to do "stuff".

Basically, they've repurposed the Kang stuff and rebranded it as a Doom movie. Talk is the Xmen are from the DOFP multiverse, hence the trailer we saw and Sentinels.

Film 2 looks to be battleword with the few remaining OG Avengers leftover from Doomsday fighting other teams. References the Secret Wars TV series too.

2 films to clean up the mess and move forward without some characters that have been very present. Don't be surprised if some characters aren't there that we'd assume

Like I said, low expectations for this movie lol. I hope it's entertaining. Also the Russo brothers like deception in the marketing and things to be different in the movie. So we'll see.

The Russo bros got nominated for a Razzie yesterday. So can't get any worse for them

For what? That Netflix sci-fi with Chris Pratt? That was pretty bad.

If you’re a fan, after dealing with a family issue (dunno, that’s why he said he took a break) this dropped a week or so ago.

For those who watched F4, accurate? I pretty much gave up but was on the fence with this one.

Yep. It was for The Electric State. The film ended up multiple nominations - worst picture, worst director and screenplay.

So, this is gunna sound crazy, but I think wonderman is actually a good show...
