  whenever someone gives me that ol’ "my taxes pay your salary” that is exactly what I say.  "Yeah.  I pay taxes too.  I also bet that my taxes pay more for my salary than yours do.”

You could make a case for bread, cracker or biscuit, but a cookie is incorrect. You get no points and do not advance to the final round where the prizes are really enormous.

Now, we've already accepted (subconsciously or otherwise) a connection to dessert since we call pizza "pie". 

HOWEVER....

5a.  Pie does not use dough, it uses pie crust.
5b.  Pies are filled up with a filling of some sort.  Even something like shepherd's pie is filled.  Pizza is not filled with a filling - sauce is spread around the top of the dough.

 

Therefore, I conclude that pizza is a tomato cookie.
