November 24, 20213 yr This team could make some noise if it makes the play offs. Not because this is a particularly great team but I'm not sure there is a runaway bunch right now... Sure GB would likely handle us, sure there are better teams than us in the NFL but I don't think there is any team to fear?

Or is Howard the Running Back, and Sanders is a Slot Receiver, going in motion? Perhaps the Eagles could run the wishbone, and have 3 running backs back there, plus Hurts, and the Eagles could run 64 times, each of the running backs getting 16 runs, and Hurts getting 16 runs. The easiest way to get one running back to get more carries than Hurts is to keep that running back on the field for as many snaps as Hurts gets. Sanders had 16 attempts, Howard had 10, and Scott had 6. It's not rocket science, you don't have to run more times to have the RBs get more touches (which is what I believe you're foolishly trying to say). take some of Hurts' 16 carries and give those to the other 2-3 RBs.

Hurts needs to keep running it, or it doesn‘t work anymore. Yes our line is amazing. But don‘t underestimate what Hurts is doing to teams.

No it doesn't - our line being "amazing" is what makes the run game work. If anything, the threat of Hurts running affects the passing game, because teams will have to account for Hurts getting yards with his legs. And again, I'm not saying he shouldn't run, but he should not be leading the team in rushing attempts consistently when you have RB's like Howard and Sanders.

Maybe a playoff here or there. But ultimately they are never good enough. Unless you have an Elite level defense. Wrong, right now Jalen Hurts is the answer. Defense and offense are improving every game. THIS IS A REBUILDING YEAR. You are not supposed to win many games during a rebuilding years in the NFL and the Eagles are winning games.

November 25, 20213 yr Here's a recent qb ranking list that has Hurts at 17. NFL Week 12 QB Power Rankings: Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert on the rise as Josh Allen, Derek Carr slide - CBSSports.com Mac Jones is at 16. Jones has 14 TDs, 10 turnovers and 2,600 total yards. Hurts has 2,900 total yards, 21 TDs and 6 turnovers. Tannehill is at 15, and he has 2,800 total yards, 18 TDs and 15 turnovers. Carr is at 14, and has 3,100 total yards, 16 TDs and 11 turnovers (in 10 games.) Our old friend Carson Wentz is at 13. He has 2,600 total yards, 19 TDs and 6 turnovers. Obviously stats aren't a perfect way to judge qb play. But I think Hurts has a better argument to be ranked higher than his critics have to rank him lower. Ryan is at 18, and he has 2,450 yards with 16 TDs and 12 turnovers. The others behind him - Mayfield, Garoppolo, Bridgewater - have certainly not done anything to be ranked ahead of him.

And, of course, Tom Brady wins most of the Super Bowls, more than half over the last 4 years. Perhaps the Eagles should just fold? Perhaps the best plan is to get a worse QB, and look forward to drafting in the top 10 every year? Russell Wilson, who ran for 849 yards the 2nd year the Seahawks went to the Super Bowl, has won the Super Bowl. And there really aren't that many running QBs. That one, Wilson, won a Super Bowl. Hurts is doing better than most first round QBs drafted in the last 4 years. All is good with Hurts.

The Eagles are 8 in points per game, so, 8. I don't see any reason to replace actual points scored by some ranking system. Hurts brings great running, a QB that brings great running makes the overall running game much better, and that's what you're looking at right now.

Rookie year - 6-1 2nd year - 13-2 - MVP 19-3 in his first 22 starts. Lamar Jackson is a better runner than Jalen Hurts, but it looks like Jalen Hurts is #2. One difference between Jackson and Hurts is that Jackson actually ran more often than Hurts does. Jackson's first start, he ran 26 times, in a Ravens win. Hurts had a higher passer rating in college than Jackson did, by a pretty substantial margin.
