He’s been at his best when the pressure is on.

Won't be easy. Not a road game and Washington is playing well.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Not sure when he’s ever been good to call something his best…?

Like a road game against a divisional opponent that could've gotten us a playoff spot?

Everybody in the world said the Eagles would win so no. Not enough pressure.

The Redskins will be a really good test though.

If he's not expected (by the FO) to be our long term starter, then maybe it's time to set him aside. Unless the plan is to let him lose games for draft position.

His best is still really bad though.

There it is.  The Redskins are the real test.

Be honest, you ate paint chips as a kid.

So we can count on him to lose the games we are supposed to win?

Did I hurt your precious feelings little girl?

If everybody says team x is going to win upsets happen all over the league.

That’s just how it goes.

It was nice to see some screen passes get some positive yards today. Maybe just me but it seems there have been way too many go for nothing this season to the point I couldn't understand why they kept calling them over and over again.

My feelings aren't hurt because I don't have to feverishly type to defend a mediocre RB that throws occasionally.

Just trying to be logical.  Would not surprise me given he was out this week due to injury.

Minshew is a capable backup for sure (and probably deserves top backup money) but is NOT a full-time starter,

Why is he not a full-time starter? I really don’t think that proclamation can be made yet at this point.

Fact is, he put up 36 TD to 11 picks with a horrible Jags team. That organization is a joke, so for Minshew to put up those kind of numbers is actually pretty impressive. He was way better with virtually the same team than Trevor Lawrence, the #1 overall pick, has been.

Not saying Minshew IS a long term answer, but I can’t say that he isn’t until we see more of him. Put it this way: I’m way more confident that Minshew can be a long-term starter than I am about Hurts. And given the weak QB draft class, I’d be fine with giving Minshew the rest of this season and, if he keeps playing well, give him a full season next year. If he doesn’t get it done, then you draft a QB in 2023.

That's especially how it goes when your QB throws for barely 150 yards every other game.

This is where I'm at.  Why even waste time with Hurts?

The problem is...the jackass of a GM picked him in the 2nd rd after already locking up another "franchise" QB.

Couple that with all the other failed 1st/2nd rd picks we find ourselves with Hurts being forced on the team because....Howie.

It sucks.

One game does not the season make. Don't get too high, or too low, on Minshew or Hurts for that matter. Both are developing. Minshew had an excellent game, but the final judgement criteria is called "Consistency". Can he repeat  his performance against Washington? He has a hot hand, so yes I would go with Minshew against Washington, but I am not ready to crown either of our QBs.

No, a road game against a divisional opponent in prime time.

Hurts doesn’t have the anticipation the throw screen passes

The big difference between Hurts and Minshew is that Minshew doesn't hesitate to get the ball to another player, be it a RB or a receiver, while Hurts always has it in the back of his mind "should I take off and run now?" and that clouds his ability to make timely decisions. Those split second delays as he makes that calculation and entertains the temptation to run bog the O timing. Then he's forced to hurry up when defensive players break through the line and we get a short panic dump-off to a WR who instantly gets clobbered, or a panicked run by Hurts, which may be spectacular or not.

The fact that our RBs gained just as many yards today as we gain in our run game when Hurts is our "leading runner" shows that we don't need a running quarterback in the mix.
And we also had our first game with a 100-yard RB in a long long time, because the QB wasn't sharing the runs so Sanders had more time to get into a groove.

The Jets suck.
