Jalen Hurts - shoulder sprain injury; expected for playoffs

Oh cute! Let‘s talk about weak arse arguments, because that is clearly your field of expertise.

Best part though is: I still keep getting what I want. Hurts is our QB, stays our QB. Nothing you guys can do about it but spam hundreds of postings crying like little bishes.

So I‘m good. You?

Why do you want him as the QB?

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

I‘ve seen him do amazing things when it was time to step up.

But if I‘m really honest it‘s still mostly gut feeling.

Sounds like what Skip said about Tebow

We‘ll see. I thought Wentz should be amazing and then he turned full bust, so I have been wrong before. Looking at my mocks though I usually am pretty good picking them.

Hurts will have every opportunity to show he‘s a star. So like I said, I‘m good.

That's it? I don't mean to be a jerk but I was seriously asking

What amazing things has he done?

Vick had the arm and the speed. His body became fragile as the more hits he took. He also had a fumbling issue because of the way he held the ball during the runs

Hurts does not have Vicks arm

Vick wasn't a very big guy. I don't think he was ever "more fragile" than at any other point. He was always susceptible to injury because of his size and play-style.

Hurts is definitely not the same type of passer as Vick. Vick had a special arm. I think there could be something to the argument that QBs should be wary of getting too much muscle mass in their arms. I don't believe there are any studies to support the theory --- I'm just not ruling it out. Guys like Cunningham, Vick, Elway, Favre, etc... didn't have real big, muscular arms. But they were all able to make any kind of throw.

I don't believe, however, that Hurts' arm is near as weak as some want to believe. IMO, his biggest issue is accuracy. I expect that will improve over time. I don't know if that time will be here in Philadelphia or somewhere else when his career is said and done.

When it matters he leads long drives down the field, converting the third downs that matter. He is throwing clutch passes when it counts and he can move the chains unlike anyone else at times with his legs.

Where was our offense ranked last year?

Where is our offense ranked this year?

That's why you give him another year.

Also, there's no better option. Russell Wilson doesn't want to come here. The rookies are all almost certainly going to be worse from an overall perspective. Did you watch Zach Wilson on Sunday? Once we took away the screen pass, he looked like a lost child wandering through a forest. Although I will concede that he had nice zip on the ball he threw to Marcus Epps, which wouldn't be a problem except Marcus Epps doesn't A. Play wide receiver and B. Doesn't play for the Jets.

You don't replace Hurts unless you are sure you are upgrading. And while many people on this board stubbornly cling to the notion that Hurts can't play qb in the NFL, they are similar to many people in society who cling to ideas that are directly contradicted by facts. And that fact is that the offense produces yards and points with Hurts at qb, which is the whole point of the offense.

If we did not have more scoreless drives than the Chargers, it would not have been an issue.

So you finally admit then that Nick Foles was the reason the Eagles lost to the Saints in the playoffs in 2013.

Totally different game flow.  Each team did not score on their first 5 possessions.  Nick Foles left the field with the lead, and then the special teams gave up a huge return, and added a personal foul and 15 yards to give a short field.

Nick Foles plays defense and special teams?

He left the field with the lead.  The kick return coverage gave Sproles a nice return and the defense couldn't seal the deal.

Guy just can not help showing his true colors and hating on the guy who is the only Eagles QB to do this.

Nick Foles pissed away chances in the first half.  He took a huge sack that pushed the team out of field goal range.  And as you said,  with the standard you hold Jalen to let's hold Foles to that same one: "If we did not have more scoreless drives than the Saints, it would not have been an issue."

As I already said, totally different game flow.  Missed FG, not on Foles.  Huge return and horse collar tackle after taking the lead, not on Foles, Riley Cooper catching a ball wide open that he would still be running 8 years later, not on Foles.

But seeing as you want to hold them to the same standard, need to see this from Jalen.

There's more factors that go into last year vs this year than Hurts though. For one the Oline is massively different

There's not a lot of athletes like Hurts but we shouldn't be looking for an athlete IMO. We should be looking for a QB

The fact is the offense produces yards and points when running the ball

Foels taking them out of Field goal wnge when he back pedaled 20 yards was in him.  Him missing a wide open DeSean streaking down the field in the first half was in him.  Him missing a wide open Celek in the first half was on him.

But yeah similar game flow.  Just pointing out your hypocrisy and how a clown you are.  No surprise I triggered you with this one.  You're pathetic.

A clown is the guy who keeps hating on the only QB who won a Lombardi for the Eagles.

Jalen Hurts career won't be a blip on the radar of Nick Foles legendary performances for the Eagles.

I'm not hating the QB.  I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy.  Little clown boy, what are you even doing here posting?  Shouldn't you be at some child's birthday party making some balloon animals?

There is no hypocrisy.  You have to play to the game flow, defense is not always gonna show up.  Once the Chargers had sustained drives, it was clear the Eagles were going to score every time, and the 3 and out punt lost them the game.

Tom Brady had the highest passing yardage in the super bowl, and the Eagles defense could not stop them, so Nick Foles went out and outscored them.

It is hypocrisy.  Eagles had the lead at half.  And Eagles scored a TD on their final two drives of the game.  Defense let the Chargers gut the clock with over 6 minutes left in the game and get a field goal.  You're a complete clown.  Get back to making some balloon animals.

But those TD's tied the game, did not take the lead.  If they had scored instead of going 3 and out on the first possession of the second half, even a FG, they would have taken the lead instead of tying the game on those TD's.

While I have you, in another discussion, people were discussing Hurts QBR, and how it is higher the less he throws.  Pretty clear, the more he throws, the worse he is.  Very clear he is a running back, and not a quarter back.

The issue with beating a good team in the playoffs doesn't have to do with our offense, it's the fact that this defense has shown anytime it goes against a good QB it will let them have their way completing 80% of their passes.

One day these offense crazed fans are gonna realize that it's defense that matters, just ask the Ravens, they've never had an offense worth a damn but they have two SB championships with Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco at QB.

If anyone want to research the list goes on, most SB winning teams had great defenses, all world Tom Brady won most of his SBs behind great defenses.

Now watch, dumbarse will bypass defensive players until rounds 4-7.

The tied the game with over 6 minutes left.  The reasonable expectation is that your defense, especially at home with over 6 minutes left is going to be able to get the ball back to your offense before the end of the game.  But you're going full clown.  This why I have no respect for you whatsoever.  Not only a terrible person morally as seen by your disgusting attempt to smear all of the Watson victims but just flat out a terrible person to try to discuss football with.

Another load of crap.  Recent Super Bowls

31-9 ( Chiefs lost multiple starting offensive lineman )

31-20

13-3 ( the exception, not the rule )

41-33

34-28

24-10 ( Cam the running QB could not pass when it mattered )

28-24

That is 7 games, 14 possibilities, 24 or more points scored 9 of 14 times.
