So the Eagles roster needs a major influx of talent for Hurts to succeed, but Minshew, who played well, was supposed to succeed in Jacksonville with the worst roster in the NFL ??

The roster needs a major influx of talent period, or was I daydreaming when many here were screaming about Wentz having no help on offense just a season ago?  I'm not even going to address all the needs on defense.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

The last game Hurts played in and played horribly was against the Giants, they are not much better than the Jets...that's for sure....if at all.    Spare me the excuses....Hurts sucks and has looked really bad in the passing game in multiple games this year.  Hurts has had his full season....he isn't the answer and neither is Minshew.  And one more thing, please explain to me why a QB who had a 3rd round grade that was drafted a round too early, "deserves" anything?  What about the skill players?  What do they deserve?  He's a grown man, getting paid handsomely to play a game and to not be very good at it.  So give me a break about what he "deserves".  FFS.

Yeah, and we beat the Saints, who just shut out the defending SB champs, and the GOAT in Brady... So what's your point again?

You never know how division games are going to go.  Saints are a .500 team.  Do you think the Lions are really a better team than the Cardinals ??  It happens.

Minshew was successful in Jacksonville?

Bortles won. Well, Jacksonville won in spite of Bortles, lol. They almost went to the super bowl with him at QB, so I dont wanna hear how we can't win with Hurts

Maybe you should take a reading comprehension class.

teams will play us like the giants did , make hurts try and throw and stack the line.

So you are comparing the 4-10 Giants who are straight garbage to a .500 team that is right now a playoff team.  A team that lost their starting QB, #1WR, Kamara has missed 4 games, who was 12-4 last year, and has been to the playoffs for the last 4 years.

The same Saints team that you are bragging about Hurts beating, you are now comparing them to the Giants. ??

Brady is 1-3 against the Saints since he got to Tampa, maybe they should trade him for Jalen Hurts.

shocker.. Teams have been doing that all season though. It's just the the Giants were effective at shutting him down. It happens, even great QB's get owned every now and then - Did you watch Tom Brady last night?

FWIW we put up more yards against the Giants than the Cowboys did yesterday.

yeah but what matters , the score

Your point was that the Giants stopped Hurts by playing a style of defense against him that prevented us from moving the ball.

It was a bad point. Don't defend it by moving the goalposts.

Now you're just being an idiot on purpose.  You just said yourself you never know how division games will go.  Also, the awful Giants also beat the Saints earlier this season, lol.  But I'm bored, so I'd love to see you try and spin that into why Hurts truly sucks.

Agreed. Either way I don’t want the Eagles to sacrifice their draft capital and the cap space to go after one of the alleged available quarterbacks. Watson and this team will not win many more games than they already do. This roster needs much more overall talent than just a quarterback. I don’t mind if they draft a quarterback and groom him for a year as the eventual replacement to either Hurts or Minshew either.

The best move the Eagles can do is to use most of the draft on defense, add a vet WR and a couple of minor pieces from FA and roll with Hurts next year.

If that means going with 4 RBs and going run heavy, then do it. Build a tough defense, control the clock and they can win quite a few games.

I am pretty sure it's not on purpose.

I agree. Build up a solid team, and whether the QB is Hurts or Minshew, they'll have a better chance to succeed.

18th in QBR, the stat that takes QB running into consideration, 25th in QB rating, 22nd in yards per attempt, 28th in completion percentage, 20th in net yards per passing play.

Additionally, his completion percentage is 46% on passes more than 3 yards past the line of scrimmage.

Aw, I thought you'd spin the Giants win over the Saints in an amusing take, but you just brought up QBR. Fission mailed. Bye

QBR is the #1 metric used to account for QB rushing.  Please find me a statistic that shows he is good.
