If they bring Carson back and he’s throwing the ball too high, to the wrong team, and still taking bad sacks then that’s just another group of coaches who will be fired "trying to fix Carson.”

Oh I agree with you. But, my hope is that a new set of Coaches can fix/reshape him. My guess is that he is tuning out the current set. For whatever reason.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Locker room rift coming, team Wentz or team Hurts.

We'll need a locker room shrine to decide.

Nice strawman. Nobody said everyone but Carson Wentz would be successful under those circumstances. But the vast majority of starting QB’s wouldn’t be the worst starting QB in the league with these coaches, these receivers, these running backs, and this oline. There are still good players at all those positions, and this coaching staff managed to win a super bowl.

This coaching staff managed to win a Super Bowl? No they didn't. 2 coaches that many credit for the Super Bowl win - Reich and Flip - haven't been here since 2018. Pederson and Schwartz were on the Super Bowl staff and remember Tom Brady put up 500 yards and 33 points on Schwartz' defense.

Who are you taking, Jalen Hurts or Derek Carr?

Hey there:

Whew it's been a long...what four years since I've roamed these parts of the internet. Out of curiosity I wanted to see how Eagles fans are dealing with this season, and I've got to say y'all are taking it pretty well all things considered.

Also, for kingnabbs sake he's not me, and I'm not him. Lol that's a heavy burden to place on someone.

LOL...Uscg-Green and DownUnderMike in full meltdown.

The 2 biggest overly emotional crybabies are screeching like a couple of unhinged lunatics now that their boytoy gets to see the bench.

LMAO! Its beautiful to watch unfold. Love seeing self righteous idiots get served up some crow but yet still somehow manage to double down on their own idiocy to further make themselves look ridiculous.

Don’t know. You seem to love that player far more than the team.

Ah you like to play fan police. Everyone just loves one of those.

You've actually never been here before (to my knowledge). This isn't the same EMB that you may think it is.

Yup new domain and what not.  Touché.

The Eagles decided to do away with the EMB back in April, with the 30th being its final day. That closure and our campaign to rebuild a new EMB, actually made the news.

If Wentz wasn’t a bust of disaster as Skip said this wouldn’t be happening

Shame that some of the threads didn't make the transition. Or maybe it was for the better. Not to digress.

Anyway, carry on guys this discussion reminds me of 7/9 back in 2013. Ah what a time!

Kind of despicable that some people have already declared Hurts is a bum. Of course the same people who are writing that crap also declared Carson was the greatest Eagles ever so your predictions pretty much suck.

Jalen Hurts is a one read QB and then will take off to run. Jalen Hurts makes bone headed decisions. Jalen Hurts has poor mechanics. He does not have a great arm (that's not to say it's bad, but he floats passes). A lot of his completions in college were to wide open receivers. When he was forced to through passes into tight windows he struggled. When he faced an actual defense in college, he was terrible.

I wanted absolutely no part of Hurts in any round. I have always felt he was a bum who was propped up by a good team/offense. Turn the YouTube highlight videos off and actually watch him play good teams/defenses in college.

I truly hope he shuts me up. I truly hope he's the next Wilson. I hope he goes 4-0, wins the division and carries us right to winning the Super Bowl, but he won't. I have zero faith in him long term.

Didn’t you say Trevor Lawrence was a bust too?

Yep. Team put up 40 against a very good football team without him. He played like crap against VT.

That said, I would take him 100/100 times over Hurts. I don't think he'll be terrible, just not nearly as good as people make it out.

This 1000 percent. He always frustrated me so much. He also had one of the most skilled teams in history and still couldn't win a championship. (He got benched at halftime losing). Tua the Freshman had to bail him out. Teams just start paying him and make him be a pocket passer and he's not.

I don’t think you can fix someone who doesn’t think they need fixing. I think we will know a lot about how willing Carson is to change by what he does. Of course if Hurts is like Russell Wilson (according to the Eagles anyway) then it won’t matter.

Funny you have been watching Carson for 4 seasons and still can’t see he’s basically a one read machine with bad mechanics that makes poor decisions. Carson also floats passes. He’s looked completely lost this season. I’ve also seen guys go from college football to the pros and become better or worse than people expected them to be. I honestly don’t know what Hurts will be like. I’m just ready to see something else. At worse he can give you the exact hot garbage we have witnessed from. Arson all season.

We aren't talking about Carson Wentz though. I have said Wentz deserves to be benched and has played like garbage.

I'm legitimately asking:

Are people aware that one can think poorly of Hurts and also believe Wentz is trash right now? Bashing Hurts doesn't mean I think Wentz is great or that Hurts can't do, at the very least, what Wentz has this season.

Nobody should be bashing Hurts until he plays multiple games like Wentz. He is a rookie let him prove what he can or can’t do. We had to sit through 12 games of Wentz garbage and he is a 5 year vet.

We have witnessed Wentz be trash in games. Nobody was calling him trash before he even played. Nevertheless all I see is people blame everyone but Carson for his mistakes. Well we will find out if nothing else if Hurts is coachable. According to you Hurts isn’t even worth a nickel. If he comes out and plays even half decent he would have proven he’s already more coachable than Carson who has reverted back to his collage issues.

Exactly it’s not Hurts fault Wentz sucked

Hurts may come in and light it up...but remember this is the NFL...and other teams have staff that are just as savvy...they will look at film on Hurts..exhaustively and gameplan for him...and teams will figure him out....so the real indictor will be: not his performance in the short term, but in the long term.....

foles in his first stint was the infamous 27-2....Vick tore it up his first year as a starter....but they both came back to earth...because teams figured out how to play them....what would make Hurts different is how coachable he is..can he learn from his mistakes, and more importantly, is he willing to learn from his mistakes...all indications are that he is receptive to criticism and does learn what he is taught...whereas....

scan youtube for a clip of Rex Ryan on Carson...and the Info is not encouraging...Ryan basically states (based on his inside sources) that Carson is a "know it all" and doesn't think he needs to better himself because he thinks he is already "there"...he also adds that Carson is quick to blame others, and holds a sense of entitlement.....but I suppose the true test would be to see what happens if Carson takes a cheap shot...would his team defend him as when Foles took a cheap shot in the WASH game...and JP (and the rest of the O Line) went after the guy and tried to take his head off....
